Wow I had enough rain tonight! I fished out of holland from 3:30 til 8:00 going 2 for 5 ,I was by my self and had a tuff time fighting fish and driving at the same time.I got a 6lb king in 85 fow 55 down on rigger with an NBK slammer, the other 4 came in 60 fow 45 and 50 down on riggers, lost a nice teen,s king at the net on a mt. dew paddle with a purple mirage flie ,a nice steelie on a cut throat slammer, and a small fish on NBK slammer, and caught an 8 lb laker on NBK it was wet but i had fun.

I have fished on a cauple of boston walers and both ran the waves nice but they have very limited seating and in windy cold weather you cannot stay dry so it can be uncomfortable but they did both fish well and had plenty of room in the back.

This is agood reminder at how things can go bad even in a "big lake boat" That water is cold i dont care what time of year it is .I spent 40 minute in 42 deg water in 1998 when my boat sunk and i dont want to ever have that experience again!!!!!!

We fished out of Holland this morning in the steelheaders challenge started at 7 and stoped at 1.Started out last night dropping the trailer off the tounqe of my truck when leaving for gas and then this morning ran aground in the fog in lake mac spun the hub on the prop on the way back in:mad: but limped her in:thumb: we only caught 5 fish all day and finished 18 0ut of 41 boats:D but its still was better than workin thats for sure!!! only 2 boats had 12 fish today then it went to 10 and down from there.

Paul,I fish holland a lot and would suggest you go south look for the big sand dunes and start in front of them they are called the sliders. I would probably start in 60 to 70 fow and troll out on a sw troll till you hit fish then troll south if he currents are rite for it.Are you going to be out all day and eve? I will be out in the eve. Call phil on the plum crazy he will point you to fish for sure! Good luck hope your trip goes well. Jimbobber
