Jonas, Nice fish.

Don't over grease them. Watch the springs on the Bearing Buddies and grease as needed. Over greasing can blow out the seals and load the brakes with grease. When I bought Priority1 I had to deal with this issue. (Sins of the former owner).

Nice pics Bomber.

Jim, I just said a lil prayer for you. May the Great Healer guide the surgeons hand.

We was without power for 4 or 5 hrs. I guess some areas have been down for over 40 hrs.

The strong winds have knocked the power out in a lot of places. We lost ours for 4 or 5 hrs. I heard that areas around Houghton Lake have been without power for over 40 hrs.

Adam, A warm welcome to the GLF site. Just holler if you need any help.

At times Divers can out shine everything in the spread. They have always been considered the poor mans downrigger but lately many captains have been running fewer riggers and more boards and divers.

Bob, Surf and Turf. It doesn't get any better than that. Hats off and ^5s to your S.I.L.

Radar is a handy tool as well as some of the weather features on smart phones. NOAA weather on the marine radios helps some.

How much will the chip improve economy and torque?? -
I agree with Frank. After a blow how it affects the temps and where to set up. I am planning on being there again. Oh Yea more hot dogs this year for lunch time from the youth group.
Aaron, Are you the one that ate all the hot dogs?? When I got up there they just shook their heads and said sorry. The youth group did a fantastic job, and had some chips to get me by.

If Robert sells bolts he has to have nuts also.
A 4 inch hole is no biggie considering the hole cut in the transom for the outdrive. Just make certain it's sealed real good inside and out.

We had 3 abnormal years in a row. 08 and 09 were cooler than normal and this year of course was warmer than the norm. We all tend to measure our success or lack of it by the past. I feel conditions are right for a bait fish population explosion. Along with typical bait fish the numbers of perch have increased tremendously. As fishermen we play the trends. Get em while they're hot. Lake MI never experienced the normal June lull this year. Alewives and Salmon are not native to the GLs. Salmon were planted as an experiment to control the alewives. I think the Salmon and the DNR are doing their job.
The walleye fishing on Huron was different this year also. A quick warm up was the reason for that. We had a real good year on the Saginaw Bay but there were a lot of fishermen that were struggling.
