Where: Homefront Church, just off 196 near the Rivertown Crossings Mall at 6265 8th Ave SW Grandville, MI 49418

    copied that for you

Jim, It's the same place we had the Salmon Seminar last year.:) I'd like to go if I could find about 2 or 3 friends from this side wanting to take a ride.:)

KEEP IN MIND THIS IS LAST YEARS THREAD.

  2. I did a little online Christmas shopping for myself as well. I ordered 4 new walleye trolling blanks for 2011 R&D aboard the Eyefull. I also ordered a couple of American Tackle 9' one piece Viper blanks to be used for my new wireline rods. With all the parts and pieces involved, Tony did pretty well this Christmas. Will probably snag a pair of Saltist reels to hold the wire, but will have to get creative when that time comes around. Also stocking up on Reef Runners, picking up a couple every trip to town:rolleyes:. Doesn't seem to hurt so much picking up a couple at a time, by spring, I'll have a pile of them and the boss isn't any wiser. Merry Christmas to everyone from Eyefull Custom Rods!

Merry Christmas Tony. You're taking unfair advantage of us PO BOYS running all that custom stuff.

  3. Tournament tie is a large single snelled in front of a treble and the idea is to get them with the front hook with the treble to grab on during the fight or be there in case the front hook miss's. Personally I got tired of the treble ending up in my net so I went to tandem singles a few years ago. Honestly it is one of the best moves I ever made. I have not however had the same success running singles on spoons it just seems to me the spoon pretty much requires a treble even though it gives the fish a better chance of spitting the hook. Once you get a fish hooked up on one of the singles even the Pro's can't knock em off with the net LOL.

Let's not start this one again.:)

  4. Oh, im sure they will. They are without a doubt one of the top, if not the top walleye oriented stores in the state. They have it all....Hurts the pocket book to live 10 miles away though!!!:thumb:

Adam, I'm about 40 miles away and it hurts just as hard. You are right on about Frank's. Their store is well organized and the prices are very competitive.

  5. There are a lot of good buys on all kinds of toys. I'll be picking up some gear right after the holidays when the mobs clear out of the stores.:) A guy can never have too many toys.:)

Priority1 needs some TLC also. She will get new trailer bearings and seals, new starboard wiper motor, repair the helm seat, possibly new curtains, and what ever else I see that needs fixing or updating.

  6. Thanks for the warm welcome. I must admit we were on the GLA site as cmcmjk. I found out about this site from Tangled Tackle in Manistee a few weeks ago and have been reading to see if it was worth joining another forum. It seems like the kind of place we will enjoy.

The tree has it's own story. We brought it in the house and were sitting at the table eating dinner. There were two spoons (still in the packages) from a recent shopping trip and I jokingly said i was going to hang them on the tree. Next thing I knew Cynthia wanted the spoon box and started hanging them up! It wound up being very cool and even glows in the dark!

Maybe we should start a thread to see how many of the spoons can be identified!

When it's time for the tree to come down, check and sharpen all the hooks. That will give you a head start on Spring Ice Out. Merry Christmas

  7. Chris, Thanks for the recipe. I'll give it a try in about a week.:)

I just fried walleye for dinner last night. The next fish dinner will be the 7up Salmon. I may even try 7up walleye in a couple of weeks if I like the salmon.:)
