  1. We fished from 6 to 10:30 from 160 to 210 fow and ended up 2 for 3 with a 14# and almost 27# king, all right around 190. Sorry if you're the boat we got awkwardly close to, the second king crossed three other lines and was causing a rats nest tangle so we had to click it in neutral. Here's what took the hits: 2-2 chartreuse musslehead meat rig behind a chartreuse atommik magnum paddle on a downrigger 90 ft down 0-1 fake news meat rig behind a mixed veggies spindoctor on 300 copper Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  2. We fished from 6:30 to 10 am then the fog chased us off. Despite a break off and a downrigger going out if commission we ended up 2 for 3 with a 17# and 21# king, all three hits in 160 fow. Here's what took the hits: 1-2 mixed veggies spindoctor with a SpongeBob meat rig behind 300 copper 1-1 into mischief Oki paddle and meat rig on a downrigger 85 ft down Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  3. We trolled from 7:30 to 11:30 am, started in 210 fow and trolled out to 250 then back to 210. Ended up 2 for 3 with a 13 lb king and 2 lb coho. Every hit came in 240 ft. I've never seen an alewife so big in a small coho's belly. Here what took the hits: 1-2 mixed veggies spindoctor with a SpongeBob meat rig on 300 copper 1-1 orange and white pro king spoon Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  4. It's good to see there are still some browns in our area Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  5. I've noticed the last few years south of Ludington kings in numbers just aren't a guarantee anymore. The central/southern end of the lake has been pretty barren all season. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  6. We fished from 7 to about 11 from 100-150 and ended up 1 for 3 with an 11# king. All three hits came in 125 on a north troll. Here's what got hit: 1 warrior magnum neon perch spoon on 200 copper 1 mixed veggies spindoctor with a SpongeBob meat rig on 300 copper 1 ITO angry alewife flasher with a matching meat rig on a downrigger 75 ft down Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  7. We trolled from 6-10 am and went 1 for 5 with a 6# coho. The first four hits all came in a row in about 135 ft at first light then another one in 190 ft right before we left. Here's what took the hits: 2 - green fly behind a green hulk spindoctor on a downrigger 95 ft down 3 - chartreuse musslehead meat rig behind a chartreuse atommik 11 in paddle on a downrigger 110 down Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  8. I've only ever got them at night when they're in the harbors in September, I've tried a few night trolls in the summer and aside from a couple steelhead once I've never had any luck Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  9. We trolled from about about 160 to 190 fow from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Marked absolutely nothing but went 1 for 1 with a 12 lbs king in 170 fow. He came on a SpongeBob meat rig behind a mixed veggies spindoctor on 300 copper. We were right around 2.4 mph the whole time. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  10. We trolled from 6 to 11 am in 130-150 fow and went 0-3. We marked a lot of bait but there didn't seem to be many fish around it. All three hits came on a live wire spindoctor with a green spin n glo 110 ft down on a downrigger. It was frustrating considering all the good reports we've seen but it was probably just too nice out to get into them (we get that a lot when it's calm). Also a heads up there's a big arse tree trunk floating around 60 fow just south of Holland, someone already flagged it, you don't see much of it but it's big. 11. Haven't been out much with all this Covid-19 fallout keeping me at work but I finally got out Sunday morning. We trolled around from 7 to 11 am around 130 ft the whole time. We ended up 2 for 3 with two Lakers 1# and 4# and had probably a king break off. Saw some promising suspended marks but no takers mid column. After about 9 we slowed our troll from 2.4 to 1.7 mph and that's when we got all three hits. Can't wait for this midsummer funk to be done. Here's what took the hits: 2-2 live wire spindoctor with a green spin n glo 110 down on a downrigger 0-1 blue jeans paddle with a blue fly on 200 copper Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  12. I guess I meant to say boat launches, good to hear there's at least one open Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  13. How are the marinas there? I'm thinking about launching out of South Haven Sunday but I've heard there marinas are unusable with flooding Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  14. Trolled from about 6:30 to 9 right around 150 feet then got blown off the lake in my small 18 footer. I ended up 1 for 1 with a 22# king. Probably my most victorious 1 for considering I couldn't reach my desired depth with the waves and had my outing cut short. She hit a SpongeBob meat rig behind a mixed veggies spindoctor on 300 copper. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  15. Up until two years ago I remember the high water mark was 20 and we didn't hit it a lot of years Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  16. Brought my girlfriend out and trolled from 6 to 9 pm. We trolled 180 to 190 and ended up 3 for 5 with an 11# coho, 28# king and 6# steelhead. Here's what took the hits: 2-2 SpongeBob meat rig behind a mixed veggies spindoctor on 300 copper 0-1 lime green fly behind playin in playa big weenie flasher on 200 copper 1-2 green and white fly behind a green alewife spindoctor on a dipsy 150 back set on 2 Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  17. We tried literally the exact same range and only managed one laker and lost two likely kings, frustrating because we kept marking stuff Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  18. If you cut the head and belly meat off the alewife it fits perfectly in the helmet Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  19. We trolled from 6 to 9:30 am and tried everything between 190 and 130 feet. We ended up 1 for 3 with a 4# coho. All hits were around 140 feet. Here's what took the hits: 1-1 300 copper SpongeBob meat rig on a mixed veggies spindoctor 0-1 UV crush green dot Dreamweaver paddle with a matching meat rig on a diwnrigger 100 ft down 0-1 UV Lorin frog on 150 copper Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  20. That one wasn't set yet, that king hit while I was setting the rigger up so I stopped with it just dangling Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  21. We trolled just north of Holland from 6 to 10 am. We started in 120 and went 3 for 3 in our first hour with a 5# coho and an 8# and 15# king. After that, nothing. All three fish were on 300 copper with a mixed veggies spindoctor and SpongeBob meat rig. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  22. I never quite understood why but outside of the occasional laker or steelhead I can never really get much in shallow bait balls this time of year, even when the water's turned over Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  23. I think it's just that time of year. They start schooled up, it seems easy, then next thing you know they scatter and it's hit and miss. Hopefully we get a good showing in late July and August because 2017 was insanity but last year was a goose egg. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  24. Nice report, good to see they haven't completely scattered here Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  25. Yeah that was definitely a drop back, he was more pink when I caught him and his underbelly was bruised Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
