  1. I'm not sure. This will probably be the year I add a digital scale to the wish list.
  2. Hit the 9am bridge and set lines in 100' of water trolling WNW reaching 175 then turned 90 degrees ENE heading back into about 145' and pulled lines at 12:30. Ended up 10-13 on an absolutely beautiful day. Forgive me as I have a hard time remembering the names of all these lures, I usually take a pic of my spread at the end but forgot to do so this time. I didn't even put the fish hawk in the water (dead batteries?) but feel we did alright without it. Best fishing seemed to be betwixt 145-165 on the wnw troll but the other direction worked too. 1). Downrigger down 70' blue dolphin 0-1 2). Downrigger down 60' something green 0, switched to moonshine veggie and went 0-1 slow reaction from crew. 3). Downrigger down 10' from bottom with tin can/laker taker went 3-3 w/small lakers so pulled from spread. 4). Wire Dipsy on 1.5 back 115 spin dr/fly in white/light blue 1-1 taking our biggest king 5). Braid Dipsy on 1.5 back 125 green spin dr/fly 0-0. 6). 6 color w/orange crush 1-1 7). 225 copper w/green dolphin?? 1-1 8). 5 color w/orange fireball 3-3 9). 10 color w/holograph jordo 1-1 If you don't have one, get one. Whenever it's out the cooler is never empty. Haha!! 10). 3 color w/something orange 0-0.
  3. Not mine then! Shouldve been hooked into probably a 30+lb king too!! Haha!! Mighty nice of you to put it out there for someone to claim, appreciate that!
  4. Was it approx 400ft of copper Dan? with a walleye board?
  5. South Haven 7/14 - 7/15 Fished out of South Haven this weekend. Friday was able to go 7/10 with 2 in the vessel with a six rod spread. 2 Downriggers, 2 braid dipsy's, a 6 color lead and a 225 copper. 4 coho and 3 kings. Best depth was 70ft down in 125 FOW. While at the fish cleaning station a fella showed up with a 24lb hawg!. Saturday fished on a friends boat for local tourney and went 5/6 with biggest being a 18lb king. I wasn't paying close attn to his spread but biggest king came on a dipsy with flasher/fly that was green/blue. Found out too late we should have went deeper sooner. Started in 90 and headed to 125 but ended up in 140 FOW being best.
  6. We lost a real nice king on yellow killer spoon on rigger down 60 when he decided to swim past us on the starboard side. Had a green killer slider that went away too. Think i saw him laughing!
  7. Sorry about your luck Dan. We were fishing the same water as you and managed to go 11/19 with 3 guys on board. The three magic factors were 40-60ft deep in 125-150ft of water, an east or west troll, and 2.0 down at the ball. It didn't seem to matter what color you put out there as long as it was betwixt 40-60ft down. I had 2 downriggers, 2 braid dipsys, and 5 long lines anywhere from 5 color to 225 copper. And yes, all my hooks were sharp!
  8. I hate to ask, but what does the "Hello Darling" look like?
  9. The bouy is wet in south haven! http://greatlakesbuoys.org/station_page.php?station=45168 Cook as well http://greatlakesbuoys.org/station_page.php?station=45026
  10. Use the shakedown cruise this morning and was able to go 3-5. Fished 40-50 ft of water. Didn't mark many fish but was able to get 3 lakers into the boat. 2 fish came off spinnies on the bottom, third came from 5 color with mixed veggies spoon. Misses also came from spinny on the bottom. Lake was beautiful!
  11. How deep were you running? Notice any temp breaks out there?
  12. Agree with some the other gents on here. Might be cheaper to start with some copper or lead lines and planer boards. Makes for a nice spread too. I have 4 riggers on my boat and rarely use the 3rd and have never run 4. Most bites are coming from the heavy lines and dipsys, but the rigger does get the big ones!
  13. We were out betwixt 115-135 with 120ish being most productive. Marking lots of fish out there. Felt like fishing could have been better. Tried a few different presentations.
  14. We went 7-9 this am. Had 8 lines in the water and took hits on all but the 6 color. Was also my oldest 1st chance to put a fish in the boat, and she went 2-3. Braid dipsy on 3 out 150 took 2, blue/white paddle blue fly. 250 copper Carmel dolphin also took 2 DR down 115 wonder bread took dink laker Dr down 100ish green/yellow spoon took 18lb king 10 color orange/green ladder back took rip, no one home after pulled from holder. 5 color orange holographic took hit on nice fish lost at back of boat. Braid diver on 2 out 100 chrome paddle orange spoon took another big king.
