Just 1 for 1; steelie on moonshine bloody nose on rigger down 90 in 153’. Fished 85-174’ with 2 riggers, 2 dipseys, 200 and 300 copper. Sunday Holland!

Put my probe down in 160’ and thermocline was down 70-80’. Good luck, have fun.

Sloow day; just one laker on SB rigger on CJ King ghostbusters flasher on meat rig down 72’. Fished 70’-194’ straight out and few miles north; almost dead calm n then around 11 nice NW breeze gave a nice 1’ chop.

Friend Carl got 1 today in around 85’ around 4 miles north.

2 for 2; laker n steelie, both around 8lbs. Steelie on 300 copper in 114’ on mag bl/gr/silv crippled alewife Gander Mtn spoon; laker on 150 copper on red pepper DW spoon in 140’. No hits on meat, riggers or dipseys. Worked 90-180fow straight out n north of the pier. Speed 2.2-3.1, waves around 1’.

Yes varnish with black hooks.

Jdh; I hear ya. Anything w/N in it I should probably stay home. Around midnight is was building up at bouy but a 0600 it was 1.2-2.4, so that and fact BS 2-4s was supposed to come down to 1-3s is only reason I didn’t reschedule; well it kind of did come down some at 10:30, but by that time 2 of my crew were chumming and that means pull lines. Sorry Bigbones my radio is still in it’s bag in the cuddy. I monitor 68. I need to pull it out. Guys: Call me anytime on shore or on the water, 517-750-7452. I have 21’ Grady White w/The Reel Woman red lettering on each side. Anyone know what this spoon is called and who makes it? It has caught some nice kings lately and I need more. Well on a short trip ended up 2 for 4; 16 and 9lb kings; had a double on when we got big king. Big King came on 300 copper on mag bk/gr/sil hologram spoon; 200 copper one we lost was on uv blue jeans; 9 lb king on CJKing suv smurf meat rig on SB rigger down 61’. Steelhead we lost came on CJ King green glo frog meat rig on dipsey on 3 out 168’. Was rough out there; 2-4s quickly turned to 3-5s, some of crew weren’t feeling good and we pulled lines at 11. Set around 8:15. Went north and trolled south with waves. All fish caught in 108fow. Again Noaa marine weather blew it.

Ill change the meat rigs up a little. Like last week in Holland my friend from Middleville wanted to run Keven’s Girlfriend flasher n meat rig which we ran and got a nice king on. I usually run Kev Grlfd with pickle sunshine fly like a lot of guys do. Besides CJKings Ghostbuster and Gr Glo Frog meat rigs/flasher I also usually run his Smurf SUV meat rig/flasher. All 3 do well for me. Next Wednesday here in Soha besides meat on the 2 dipseys going to run Smurf meat rig on Port side SW rigger.’ Both dipseys w/meat got the big kings Wednesday. SW is 1C lead core between rigger braided line and mono leader. I’m running little pool between it n reg rigger line w/o SW. So far SW has done better than reg; idea is 1c will drop the bait below the ball a little.

Ill be fishing in Frankfort mid August like I do every year.

Went 8 for 8, 5 kings, 2 coho n 1 laker all in 160’ just little north of piers. 1 small king, laker n coho on red pepper DW SS spoon on 150’ copper. 18-2 n 16-2 kings on dipseys on 3 out 160’, 1 on Capt John. king Ghostbusters and Gr Glo Frog flashers n neat rigs. 8-2 king on 300’ copper on mag gr/bl/wh mag spoon. Small coho n king on 200 n 225’ copper on mag rv fldr pdr No fish on either rigger. 2-3s out of nw buiktbup to 2-4s for a while until it cane diwn to 1-2s as predicted. North n south trolls took fish ascwell as 1 west turn. Usual 2.2-3.2 SOG. Cloudy most of day but sun out after 1.

Yep; my Honda pushes The Reel Woman around 28mph so about 1/2 hr run.
