thanks guys
and yes Zgrinder the boys insist on meat and are proficient at it like they have proven over and over again BUT last night I got to run many of our "old luckies" and honestly I had just screenshot and used your chart from the night before as a guide
what you say and show with currents does make a lot sense
I will add that last night after dusk all the marks went deeper (verses higher up in the column) on the graph which shocked us too and was probably why we couldn't get the glow program to keep going. In hindsight we were fishing above em at that point...

PUG took my daughter and I out trolling...
ran south beyond Saugatuck and setup in 120fow to avoid the storm arriving
weird night out there... strong current & weather went from bad to perfect and then back to bad after 10pm
5for7 with bites from 99fow out to 130fow and 120fow probably being the best:
copp350 green jeans mag moonshine holo
dipsey back 110 with silver and blue spindocter
copp200 mag half a meal moonshine
copp250 flounder pounder mag moonshine
rigger down 62 happee meal mag moonshine
rigger down 54 green jeans mag moonshine
copp150 scaley green size 4 jplug
a couple of them were real BIG hens tonight! at least bigger than the matures we had been getting

5 for 12
92fow was all of our action
SE and SW troll is what they'd bite with surface speed or around 2.4mph
high dipsey out 220 with meat went numerous times
low dipseys out 105 and also 112 with meat were hopping
spoon on rigger down 65 but actually this was the steelhead that came on slider so 55down
copp350 with meat went three times as well on starboard side
almost every other boat was 110-140fow and curious if that was better? we had not a single bite after 9pm which was a little anticlimactic -- we figured it was because PUG stayed back?

thanks for the report
amazing how the fish are sticking around in numbers down south this time of year
-
lots of cross current especially starting out, which made getting everything in and keeping it all from tangling an ongoing challenge tonight
6 for 11
78-90 fow
50-70 down
mainly meat but some fly and spoon and even a glow jplug brought in the last one at around 10.20pm
beautiful night on the water!

rocking report
love to see the jplugs come out & score in July!

nice work BLP
we must have been right by you there off the sliders
sounds like spoons worked real good too and maybe it wasn't just a meat gig like my kids were telling me
-
12for21 all matures & all males except for one big hen
highest rod to go was copp150 with green spoon (went twice)
most of the other bites were concentrated in that 55-70 down though so copp200, copp250, copp300, rigger down 69, dipsey out 109
15 of the bites were on meat rigs
all hits where in 75-81fow with the best depth being 77fow
seemed like all the other boats were trolling deeper than us in that 80-120fow
initially, trolled south at first with current with us so to get em going we were 3mph or even a little more
later swung it north and had the inverse going into current where 2mph was about right
had 5 on at once at one point and managed to land 4 of em
lots of tangles and mishaps in the chaos of course
cleaned fish til after midnight - thankfully PUG sat this one out or I'd still be out there cleaning fish - yikes!

PUG put us on the fish real good tonight... same depth (105-120fow) and about the same vicinity just north of Holland
meat was fantastic on the divers
at one point we had a quadruple on all 4 divers
copper 300 and 350 and 250 played ball some too
riggers were hot 62 and 77 down with spoons
direction didn't really matter
beautiful night and no storms thankfully!

PUG took 9 of us out fishing on the new 2025 Parker 2.0 tonight
went 5 for 10 and would've gotten probably another 5 or 6 fish easily but got run off by some scary looking thunderstorms - the bite was really starting to turn on right after sunset but unfortunately the thunderheads and lightening and high winds arrived right then and there too
what worked was all in that 95-115fow between Holland and PS
deep dipseys out 150-160 with meat rigs went 4 times
high dipseys out around 200 went twice with spindocter flies
copp200 and copp250 with spoons each went
riggers with spoons went too
nothing on copp300 or copp350 suprisingly
some fun videos are attached - hopefully they play correctly?

despite the fish not eating, it sure looked like a beautiful night to be out there - PUG and I are admittedly a bit jealous

awesome report Kevin
good reminder to all of us to keep high lines ready - shocked they were in that tight!

PUG got a good bathing indeed and is ready for more should this wind calm down...
