  1. One could always receive salmon for free, then give or donate "gas money" to the donar...
  2. For me, I just the downrigger cables as my speed adjustment. I don't have a speed/temp probe. A slight angle back, with bubblles coming off the cable is what I go by. I've done really well by this. I really need to step up my game with a new gps/graph and speed temp probe this year.
  3. e-mail sent on the remaining convectors and clarion, thanks.
  4. The firmware update might revive it, but it depends on your computer and it's age and system. My laptop is now 6 years old, but still doing fine. Cisco and Motorola are (2) great product names, as Joelsanders said, stay with a Docsis 3, just look on the outside of any product box to see if that's what the product is. As far as securtiy of a router, yes and no to answer your question. If someone really wants to hack into your system, if they are good, then they will. Always stay current with any Microsoft updates and patches, and anti-virus and malware software.
  5. IIRC, I read an article of a guy's boat sank, or almost did because of a failing bilge pump. Must have been almost sank, because the article said when he disassembled the pump, he found "a bunch" knot clippings that had colleted in the pump causing it to fail. That has always stuck in my mind.
  6. Charter is constantly changing and upgrading their systems, the newest is MAD (MI ALL Digital), I work for them. Look for even more increased speeds later on this year. It is recommended that you replace your router every 2 years to "keep current" or you can update via "firmware". They should have sent you a letter saying that your router was not current and that it needs to be replaced (I think this may only apply to Charter rentals, not 100% sure though)
  7. After not drawing for the last 3 years, this year I was successful! My first! To say the least, I'm pumped!!! I did purchase a left over tag last year, but didn't get a chance to shoot a bird, and non of the years prior to that. Ever since last year though, I've had turkey in my blood! Hopefully this winter didn't take it's toll on the birds too bad.
  8. No, did not receive any PM's from you.
  9. I'll be using meat for the first time this year, and I'll have whole and fillets in the water. After watching many west coast programs on meat, I do feel confident in running it this year. I think the hold up for me was/is the hassle of running it and the "mess", but if it helps put a few more fish in the box, then it will be worth it.
  10. Now that you mention it, I can't recall anything new either.
  11. Here ya go! http://www.glguideservice.com/
  12. I'm going to be looking into this one! Thanks for posting!
  13. Kyle Buck (with BloodRun Tackle) was/is looking for firstmates, I believe he's in your area. Check with him.
  14. Nothing like a batch of fresh walters pulled from ice cold water!
  15. If I google "salty balls", is something going to come up that I don't want to see? I guess I'll look later at home, oh wait the wife is there. What is a "salty ball" thanks!
  16. I know! I keep reading good things about it, maybe I got a bad spool?
  17. Yes! Depending on your length of copper, 100', 150', 200', 300', etc. when the copper is finished deploying all the way, clip the board on your perfered backer, and then let it out to where ever you want your board to pull.
  18. 20lb. P-Line CXX for me. In the spring, 15lb. P-Line. I run clear color. I did try the Blood Run 20lb. rigger line this past year and was not impressed. After snapping off 2 flasher/fly combos and losing a couple of 15lb. spring kangs, I gave up on it.
  19. Stick baits and cranks, smaller size spoons to start out the season, then larger sized spoons and J-Plugs as the season progresses. I tend to use stick baits early on and later on in the season, and spoons all season long. I try to match spoon size to the forage that the preds are feeding on.
  20. Seems like a lot more knots to me. I'm not an expert by any means though...
  21. Just curious, what problems were you guys having? I got some of the "first batch" and haven't had any problems at all.
  22. I too run the Ace-Hi plugs, the Spatter Back series, and all glow bodies, etc. BUT, my (2) most productive plugs by far are the sz 4 Wonder Bread and Bloody Nose Luhr Jensen "J" plugs. I also like the sz 5 Silver Bullet flat lined w/planer board, 300' back. If I had to pick just (1) plug, it would be the sz 4 Wonder Bread.
  23. Nice!!! Great pics and write up, thanks for shraing!
