  1. Could be a bad filter or even a bad pickup screen in the tank. Dose it come and go or is it there all the time? Is it more on take off or just cruising? could be a fuel pump starting to go if the fillers are clean, with a carb it would spit a sputter on take off and normally you wouldn't have that kind of RMP drop if you are just cruising , check for a bad (craked ) wire or cap if it is shorting out you will drop that plug and then you are firing on 7. I also would do a compression check and see where you are at, you may have a weak one or two. And it may be time to rebuild. Engine are fun to figure out but you only need to things to make them run gas and electric one can't run well with out the other.

I hope that this helps and you find the issue.

looks great so far, been there and done that along with the stringers just take your time and make sure it all bonds together tight with no air pockets. I had a good friend redo his four winns last year and used a new composite fiberglass board that was priced around the same price as marine board and was pretty easy to cut and glass over and with no wood in it you don't have to worry about rot again. If you want the companies name I can get it for you just give me a shout.

  4. we ran into the same thing out fishing ,I had boaters come up behind me and try to push me out of the way, all I do is slow down and see if they can pick up a lead core in the prop,And I have also had sail boat buzz me in the channel thinking because they are under sail they own the water well (I think you can not run under sail in the channel and over take a boat) I may be wrong but I would bet if he hits me he will have more then a boat to pay for ,it may also be a a-- kicken he will have to deal with.

  5. Just wondering if anyone works for a tool and die company or can turn a metal pin for a fly vise? I would be willing to work something out with a little bartering for tackle if they like,:thumb: just thought I would ask ,I can't find what I am looking for on the net.

    Thanks

You are correct,as a small family owned tackle mfr we try our best to set everyone up with a set number of spoon and flies Our number is 6 per peg ,and we try to spread out our stock so that every shop that we deal with gets something, and not just loading up one store nothing to the rest.

We will spend most of our winter building what we hope will still be hot and along with new patterns that we hope to take off for the next season.

Not to sob but you have to understand that not only do we pay taxes every quarter on sale but we pay taxes on finish and raw good down to the paint and packaging, so to keep a large inventory at the end of the year is a killer,so we keep our finish good down (cheaper) till the first of the year. And we ramp up as fast as we can.And to start a new store in the spring can take anywhere from 400-600 spoon and the same in flies.

Don't get me wrong I love what I do as a mfr and hope some day to make this a full time job, but I also have to work a real job to support my family. I can say I see it both sides I once was that guy unhappy when I couldn't find that one spoon or flies only to hear it's on order. Can we a mfr do better ,SURE ,but we try our best to get better on every order.

  7. Just too jump in , I agree with Aaron , as a supplier of spoons and flies I would love to build and sell all year long to the stores ,but as Aaron said there is a cut off point where the stores have to change there stock over for the next season (hunting) Most of the stores ramp up the orders as best as they can ,but only if they can sell it ,the few that consign with the tackle manufacturer hold more items knowing what dose not sell can go back at no cost to them or the store.

I have had people call me and ask if I still have something in stock or can it be made and if they could buy it from me, I have done this only if the stores that I work with are out and are not going to reorder for the season. You may want to call and see if you can get what your looking for ,at least you may get some info on what stores may still have that item.
