  1. Thanks for the info...I'll keep you in mind come summer:)
  2. I was hoping you were going to say August, but sometime in July may work...I have a hard time leaving St. Joe in July to catch steelhead somewhere else:D
  3. Thanks Mike...if I lived 15minutes from the Niagara that's where I'd be as well! Fished there on my honeymoon a few Novembers ago out of Lewiston.
  4. Every year I drool at the pics you guys put up of Erie steelies...if you had to pick a three week window to try and plan a trip for when would it be?
  5. That idea I like...I have a ton of egg sinkers I got cheap at one point or another to try and make my own river weights with and really have not ever done it.
  6. Picked up a couple 5 color rigs and have some 2 colors, and full cores as well. Any of you run snap weights with your core? If so, what are the set-ups you use and what part of the water column are you targeting?
  7. Looks like Ben...SalmonSlayer? Name of boat is PhotoFinish I believe.
  8. The third guy in the blue coat is DonP's friend Donnie.
  9. Steve...mark my words-last time this year:mad:
  10. That's exactly how I felt yesterday afternoon...every other phone call or email was a fantastic fishing report and everytime I checked the weather it was getting worse for the days I can fish. Nice job on "the day at the office" Take Six.
  11. I may do that GLF...I hear it's a good read. It would be nice to use our winnings:D
  12. I'm in as crew with Adjusted (I think?). I vote fish boil.
  13. I like the additional control I feel I get with a longer rod. Seems to help going over top/around other rods and getting the board off as well.
  14. Good to have you around Rick! Hope to see you at the Brown Blast or before!
  15. Welcome aboard Tim! Always enjoy your posts and desire.
  16. Not to hijack the thread, but I marinate for a couple hours. Don't be afraid to add some pineapple juice/chunks to the marinade and on top of the fish while cooking. This is a great recipe, and Lowry's makes a couple great marinades that are similar (Sesame Ginger, and Teriyaki) if you don't have time or desire to make your own. I serve the fish over white rice and french or garlic bread goes well...grilled veggies/fruits are another great side!
  17. I probably love ice fishing as much or more than anyone on this board, but I just assume it stays this way until it warms up in March...I'm already hitting the river 2-3 times a week for chrome and I can't wait to be watching rods bounce on the pier. I have a trip planned to LBDN mid Feb and after that I'll be ready to put the Vex away and oil up the wheels on the pier cart! All that said, we will probably be icefishing until May this year. See you tonight Steve...I should be out of work at two'ish and thigh deep by three, slittin' the throat on a hen by 3:15 and taking out the eggs about the time you're walking down the hill!
  18. It also helps to soak the board in water for an hour or two beforehand so it doesn't catch fire.
  19. Scratch that Twin Slam question Levi...I found them. Funny, I bookmarked there website over a year ago thinking they would be productive for many applications, but never followed up with it...that will change!
  20. I see how it is...bastages.
  21. Dave, what brand spoon is a LemonLover?
  22. Alright Levi...come clean. What's a Twin Slam? Did some searching and I can't find anything on them.
  23. We'll most likely be back in the "sportsbar area"...I'm a chubby short guy and will have a beige FisgDog hat on. Look forward to meeting you! Darrin
