  1. If you start posting fishing reports for your port people will find them in google and will start coming here for your port & they will start posting. Pass the site name around on the cleaning stations. My port gets a good number of posts because someone took the time to post reports for a couple of months without anyone else posting reports. Eventually people will find them and start coming here. You might also find some members that live in the area that just don't post but will once you start.

  2. Dave i thought it was my bad luck that we lost all those fish but now i can see its all you!

I was the bad luck! All the fish got off with the rod in my hands! Dave tried to wash it off me about 300 yards from the launch on the way back in.

I had a wonderful time. Was so thankful to get out on the water and see how its done. I've never seen kings so big.

Once I get my boat put back together lots of copper is going to be added!

  3. I have never heard of the weights being wrapped around each other spread 10ft apart. When I pulled the one weight up, the other was wrapped on it. When I released it, it caught the top of the outboard, and nearly caught the prop. I would have lost my fingers if that happened. I got lucky this time, and I'll be more carefull if that happens again. Note to self, don't grab the wire bare handed, and don't bring it all the way up when tied together.

That is nuts. Glad to hear you still got two hands and ten fingers.

  4. Thanks for the info will try calling the # in your post although not familar with pyles. Have been going down to South Haven for past 20 + years for perch only, we fish out of port Muskegon, for our Salmon and everything else.

Its the bait shop located by the launch.

or i would sell you mine for 20.00 shipped to you. im never going to use it again.

oh, thanks for your offer. I must have just missed your message this morning. I went to the semi-local marine supply place today & they loaned me theirs for a deposit.

    Thank you so much though!

  6. I fish out of a 18 foot aluminum boat with a 75 horse mercury. It costs about $23 per trip on average to fuel it. We had a kicker for the first half of last year then lost it in a tragic gravity/metal is heavier than water accident. That saved only like $3-4 a trip in gas.

I am looking in the future to upgrade with something with a little more shoulder room. I was just wondering the fuel costs per trip over these bigger boats.

  7. It'll never happen. Why? They fooled you guys into thinking there was a serious problem. They know there is enough people around from the other side of the state that will stick up for them. This is all to save $$$. They tell ghost stories & scare everyone into believing there is going to be a crash so they can save money and plant less fish. Hook line sinker. If there was a problem like they claim they would have already increased the catch rates for salmon. I will be happy to apologize and say that I am wrong if they increase the rates. I won't be holding my breath. You guys need to step up & demand they put the stocking numbers back up if they won't support higher catch rates immediately.
