  1. any time is my favorite but i do like my night fishing.we do some night trips out of frankfort and manistee.we have had some great trips at night,two biggest fish last year were caught after midnight.having the lake to your self is a big bonus.will be at it again this year

  2. i am about sick of the service you get from all these big companys.i called penn today to order some line pauls for a 330 gti,common part that wears out with use.i was told they dont have any in stock call back in a few weeks,no i can take your name and call when they arrive or they dont even say sorry those are not avalible right now.the wife and i own a small pizza joint and believe customer service is important,i wish they did:( how do you run out of a 10 cent part that every reel you sell has in it

  3. thanks, i think i am done with the long drives for a while time to concentrate on the eyes in the bay.the board works great its a couple of old shovel handles cut off and some cheep hooks from the hardware with a couple rubber anchor light holders screwed on the back,it hooks right on my tracks.got about $3 bucks into them

  4. we hit the water just before the hordes yesterday,set up at the junk cars.things started off slow we didnt hit a fish till we hit the chalets then it was on we finished our 3 man box in about an hour could not even get all the lines back in the water thin fins 90 to 125 bk orange dodger with a green n gold fly 40 bk and 14 dwn on a rigger and a #9 jointed rapala in orange n black 50 bk 7 dwn on a rigger

    threw a few back after that and headed home,was one fine day to spend on the water.the wifes fish radar must have been working she called me on thursday and said get the boat ready i took friday off and we are going to the joe.posted picture in the gallery

  5. hit st joe this morning and the big pond was on fire over 30 coho to the back of the boat,i release them at the back of the boat with out taking them out of the water or netting and keep the bleeders.brads thin fins in the red tiger fire was hot,solid orange,fire tiger,and gold n black in the new thin fins from storm 85 to 125 bk.we also got a couple of fish on a orange 00 jenson dodger and a green n gold fly and a dw super slim in orange slurpie on riggers 7 and 11 dwn.we set lines at the pump house at 7:15 am and ended at cook at 3:00 pm we stayed in 18 to 28 fow all day.most of the boats seemed to stay inside us.speed was 2.2 to 2.5 this was the best day of spring fishing we have experinced yet:grin:

  6. we fished tawas bay today 8 for 10 3 browns, 3 walleye,1 laker and a big smallmouth.10 to 14 fow challenger minnows in ghost and clear minnow,f13s in vampire,bleeding pearl,the new yellow pearch and a hj10 in purple sunfire.100 to 120 bk 2.0 to2.2 mph.most fish were caught in the dirty water
