Nice job - how big was your big king. Sure looks like a nice fish
Big was 14#. Shoulda weighed more but they had nothing but loose saggy bellies. No baitfish in any of them.

Fishwhisperer and I launched about 7 and pulled about 1130. Ended 6 for 6 with 5 kings and a greaser. 50-60fow right out front of piers was best for us. 6 and 7 color, 100' 45# Howie copper, wire dipsy out 75 on 2, and rigger down 50 took fish. Blue bubble flasher and fly, Greasy Chicken Wing, Killer Dolphin, Bloody Nose all took fish. Tough day to leave it was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Went with Fishwhisperer and his buddy Frank outta SH. Set lines in mud and turned south. Fished 50 fow back into 10 with only a 3# brown on a 3 color to show. Pulled lines and ran about 10 miles south. Set up in 20fow and started hitting em. Ended up 10 for about 20 with 1 brown, 1 laker and ho's. Couldnt keep em hooked. Firetiger tots were best on flatline. 23 fow was best. Beautiful day on the lake. It was like glass out there. Thanks for coming along guys!

Fished the blast this morn with Fishwhisperer and 2Unreel. Went 19 for 23 with one 7# steelie and the rest ho"s. We went 2 hrs without a fish then hit the steelie and into the ho"s. We couldnt get out of them fast enough. We went from zero to box in 40 minutes. About 8 miles north in 14fow was best. Didnt matter what ya threw at em. We ended up 12th in the Blast but had a great time with great friends. Beautiful day out there!

Nice job. Thats a dandy king this early. Hope to get one tomorow like that!

I had the same question sunday. We stopped at South Haven cause the waves looked good and went the big o'fer while everyone at St. Joe tore it up. I'd say it's harder to find the fish at South Haven then St. Joe, but there'll be way more people at St. Joe.
Yeah that. SH trip out of river seems much shorter than the Joe. Seems to be a little more consistent of of SJ. Just get out there and slayem. Then post a report so I know what port to go to.

NICE! I agree although i gotta vote for #1 combo. I can smell the smoker already:thumb:

I also use the albright and works great for me.
Here is the sweet and easy way to do wire via some previous posts on here.

Thanks Frank. Over 96 hours so i cant. Thats a great link though.

Bought new license online and saved it to print at work. Somehow what i saved was only the half with my info. I had already closed the window. Anyone ever do this or figure how to get back into it? I believe it has the license number but not the place to sign. etc.

I tie direct with braid then wrap a couple inches of electrical tape. Never had a slippage issue. I would think 150 YDS. absolute min. Then as much as possible. Seen some foul hooked kings that went for miles it seemed with a J Plug hook in mouth and other hooked in side. Just my .02.
Trolling plate advice for a 90 hp outboard

I had fished a few boats with the Trol-A-Matic Spring Loaded Nylon Trolling Plate which is spring loaded. Comes up when u hit gas, drops down when going slow. No bending if u hit gas. I always thought they were good but dont see a lot out there. No fuss
