  1. Lots of tamper proof screws out there best ones break off when you tighten them but you have to drill them out to remove them.

Thanks guys. Thats what im looking for. Take off couple times a season prob. Any clue where to get such things?

If someone really wants em they r gonna get em but i wanna slow em down so i can react. Hopefully.

  2. I have Berts tracks that hold rod holders and downriggers and my new boat wont fit in garage during summer. Anybody have any different lock end screws or anyway to lock on $$$ worth of equipment rather than just a hex head? Figure others must have same concerns but never saw anything different. I live in nice neighborhood but never know when a few hoodlums might roll through. Any thoughts?

  3. I had a cushion made for my cooler top that is made of gore tex. Cool eh? Yeah nothing wants to stick to gore tex. I have industrial strength velcro for easy on off, but its ridiculous to try to sew on. Reg velcro wont stick to rough cooler. Any thoughts?

  4. Been thinking about waist hi but doesnt have the ring of the Nee Hi. I bought a 17' Sylvan Eliminator with a 70HP Merc. At least i have winter to set it up. Of course I already put alot on since day 1 pic. Will pot finished pics come spring but heres a start. Need to sell Nee Hi so I can get some trees.

  5. I got a feeling my season is prob over too. Just got a new boat and the weather has been too windy to even get it out. Well its been a great year for me and at least great hunting times are coming. Avg just under 7 fish a trip with usually 2 guys, cant complain about that. Cant wait for spring but a little sad to retire the Nee Hi. :( Hope everyone has a great winter and may spring come early:p

  6. Thanks guys. 2nd time hunting some new property. Had class til 550 and decided to head to blind as it was a nice night. It was getting late and had a doe pass through 50 yds away then this guy came through about 15 yds out on the move. Stepped behind a tree and all i knew was it had horns so i took a real quick shot. He went 50 yds.:) From time i saw til i shot was maybe 20 seconds. Glad i had bow in hand! The season is still young and im jacked:thumb:

  7. Was rough fishing for us all around tues pm and wed am. Tues night took bites in 95, 115, 130, 145 fow on 7 color down to 130' rigger. Lots of marks in shallow 50-60 fow but no takers. Crappy weather and crappy fishing for us this week in SH. Orange was best color though. Worst fish of the 2010 season :eek:Good luck if ya get out.

Saw 1 silver king taken off pier wed morn. even w/ warm temps

  8. Ended up sticking around SH with nasty weather. Ended 1 for 4 tues PM with hits in 95, 115, 130, and 140 fow. Landed 15# king in 140fow on 150' copper orange crush that was bent in half by that beast. Buddies first king so that was cool. Lost fish on 7 color w/ purple and yellow spoon, 200' copper w/ mag mixed veggie UV, and Craigs christmas 120 down on rigger. Last fish was at 730:( King was rather looked like we pulled out of 40fow not 140fow

Wind blew all night so we made it out for 1/2 hr of 1st light fishing 50-60fow then pulled as it was nasty and had a green crew member. Went back out for an hour from 1-2pm without a hit then pulled as it was pretty sloppy.. Wind was dead back at port and calming nicely.

Decided to call it a trip as the weather and fishing were terrible. Beats staying at work!! Looks ugly the next few days too.

  9. Got a couple cousins coming into town tommorow and we are slipping in SH Tues night at least. Thinking about heading out weds morn and heading south to st joe or north to saugatuck and back in a day. Anyone ever done this? Is it feasible to do roundtrip in a day AM thru PM trip?

Obviously weather dependent. Thought it would be cool and also get us to some bigger rivers. If not we may look into slipping at joe or saugatuck. Just not sure how easy to get slipped there. Any thoughts?

Will be fishin somewhere from tues PM thru thurs Am. Give us a shout on radio if ur out there No Limits or Nee Hi. Cell 269-599-7420 Jarod :superman:

  10. One more question, what about getting say the 45's for the downrigger and dipsey rods, would it matter? Is going bigger better, they are the same price so just wondering

If ya go bigger ya gotta fill em up or they will not be accurate on the counters and will take alot more cranks on the reel to get the same amount of line either way. Make sure u get the line counters at least on the dipsy rods.

I LOVE my Convector 30 for wire dipsy and 55 for big copper/ leadcore. The big handles rock too.

I have a bunch of Magda Pros and Classic Pros that were very economical and have all held up for leadcore and copper for me. The drags are not near as nice and i understand they wont last as long as others but they have reeled in some nice fish for me. Not a huge fan of them for riggers and definitely not for dipsy. If i had the money they would all be convectors or i guess for that matter tekotas.:) Just my .02 but im a weekend warrior too.

  11. Get out with as many seasoned vets as possible and see how each person does things. Each person does things different, so see what fits ur ways and u feel confident in. Then make it your program. Dont be afraid to experiment and leave the pack to open seas. Remember any day on the water beats a day at work;) Keep on truckin'!
