Black River Municipal Park is a city park. As of today no pay and docks in. $7 when they are working gate via cash or credit card. Stay to far side away from launch until around corner closer to bridge. Very short ride from SH. Good Luck Jim.

went 19 for 21 this am in 6 to 8fow. Went back with my 2 sons and 2 granddaughters this afternoon and they were gone. Same spot, lures, speed, everyting, nothing. Moved out to 32fow and went 1 for 3.
Me and fishwhispere passed u heading south i think right there about 6 ish. The fisheys dissapeared for us too. Glad u hammered em this morn. Good job!

Glad to hear u nailed em. Went out 430 and set up south. Ended a miserable 3 for 3. Mirror calm when we sat down and 1 footers by the time we had rods set along with some snow and rain. Not so hot for us today. All fish on north troll back from Palisades. Firetiger tots and gold/red tot. Lots of people out. Beats sitting home.

Wow that thing looks deep. Nice:D Kicker is a nice safety addition as well as economic. Copper and wire.... ahhhh my favorites!!
-
Sorry not familiar with area but its often best to stay clear of the pack. Sometimes the best fishing is away from them. Less headaches and more fish!

New this year. 17' 1987 Sylvan Eliminator w/ 70 HP Merc and 15HP Merc. Just got a bow mount trolling motor today. Usually fish out of SH.

18 to 22 inches-chunky, they look good.
We got a few smaller ones but pretty close to this.

It would depend on how deep you want your lure to get. If you are looking for depth put it on the leader. Farther out will make the dive bomb deeper. If you put one on your backing you will need to let quite a bit out before putting on your board otherwise it is doing nothing for you. I dont usually run more than 1 dive bomb on each side. They track differant than the other lines in my past experience.
Multiple bombs on each side equals a HUGE mess for me at least:mad:

i use a stinger sidekick
Jeff, How big are the sidekicks?

Nice job. Fish in the boat in March, AWESOME.

Like Mike said, any small size orange or red flasher. Luhr Jensen, Spin Doctor, or I wanna say a Z flasher. Those on a 1 or 2 color have been good for me in the past.

Couldnt find a 3rd for MI City so Fishwisperer and I went to SH after some browns. Didnt make it out of the mud and whattaya know. Ahhhh.... Coho????? Turned south and ended up 11 for 12 in an hour and a half. First sandbar. Anything firetiger. Wasnt what we expected but we were happy campers. Never made it to Palisades even. Flatlines and 1 color. Great way for my first trip of year in new boat!!!! Good luck boys, go get em!!

Last year was all about the copper for me. But everything was deep! Wish i was fishing 30 fow:p I added a 100' for the year and have a 50 and 30' to try in spring. These would be outside boards. Figured i would give it a try.

I thought i read something about a harbor issue earlier this winter there. Anyone know if this handled or still an issue? Im getting ready to rock that way too.

I trim rib bones after filleting then....
Fishwhisperer showed me how to cut the fillet into three boneless pieces. Once you have a skinned fillet, run ur fingers down the fillet and u should be able to feel the pin bones going from front to back. When you feel them stop, make a vertical cut making a tail, boneless section. Now make a horizontal cut on each side of the pin bones of the remaining section cutting out the bones. This will leave a small thin section up top and the remaining larger lower section down below. You will lose a small section of meat around the bones but on a King it will make little difference.
If you prefer to have a skinless fillet, skin BEFORE cutting the bones out. This works pretty well for me. Just my .02

Pep boys had em for abotu $50 too. Maybe they could pattern them to say stop and turn in the light pattern;)

Never have before but i bought some small bungees from Menards for reel:) cheap. I think they will go from Berts ratchet bases to the spool thiungy part of the reel. Soemtimes in the rough water the rods will relax and go limp and they could be angled to tip out of the holders. Never lost one but paranoid, would REALLY be paranoid with Tek's.
