  1. Fished the Nee Hi with Fishwhisperer(Randy) and my buddy Dustan. Dustan's 1st time ever on Lk Michigan was a little bumpier than the 1' or less but we managed.:D Ended up 5 for 7 with 3 kings and 2 lakers. One lost laker just behind boat. Biggest was 14# king on a 300' copper with a MS Flounder Pounder. Caught fish on 250' copper, 6 color, and 9 color and wire dipsy out 120. Variety of colors took fish. 120 to 150 fow was best. Rookie got to reel in the first two with his first being a 10+lb king and then another on the wire. He is hooked;) . A fun night as always on the Nee Hi.:ps-003:

  2. I love my copper rods but lead definitely has its day. 150', 200' and 300' have been my best, but after last year I added a 250' w few fish so far. Last year the copper was hot for me in May and this year it has been more lead. Both are great in my opinion. I have a lot of confidene in my coppper but depends on time and person. Just my .02

BTW I prefer 45# but some love the 30# too

  3. I would like to thank Nick (Paulywood) again for letting us fish on his ride. We both had an awsome time. My 7 year old talked for 2 1/2 hours on the way home about his first king.

    Thanks Again Steve and Hunter

It was nice meeting you any many others out there. Your son was very excited and it was great to see a future fisherman for sure!! Congrats to FBD for the win. Thanks for the pics Nailer. Saw N II Deep on the road too. Hopefully see ya guys again soon.

  4. Fished Port Sheldon sat morning and the fog was ridiculous. I was going pretty slow in the Nee Hi. We could here talking and Randy said he heard baitclickers of people setting lines that we couldnt see. One guy said he came upon a floating tree that he thankfully saw. That was pretty crazy at any speed.

  5. The Nee Hi will be fishing the buoy 43 miles out pretty soon. Whose coming with me????? I am launching early with these light winds the fish will be biting!!! :poke::angry2: Oh wait MI sucks:( The weekends have been POOP!!

  6. Went out with 2Unreel and his dad for a short trip. The boat ran good which was excellent news to us all;). We ended up 2 for 3 with 2 lakers. 2 color w/ mini mixed veg missed a fish. Rigger 30 down w/ double orange crush SS took a laker. 5 color with Mongolian Beef Moonshine took a feisty laker in pic. Turned out to be nice day on the lake. Thank you Andy for taking me out on da lake. Had a great time:D All fish were released.:thumb:

  7. Spoke too soon, looks like I will be pulling the motor next weekend to change the coupler maybe I will catch you all at the next outing.

Not fair ANDY, SERIOUSLY. :eek:This is BS u got some good boat karma coming soon brother. Soon it will be happening.

I'm in. I will have to get some info on landing the boat in South Haven. Never been there.

Its at my favorite corner, Dunkley AVe and Dunkley Ave.WTF The first time I was looking for it there I was like what the hell is this the center of the universe!!!

  8. Nice job Fellas. We hit NB without any bites, bummer. That wind was brutal. We did see the Nee Hi in transit on the way home!

The Nee Hi was getting over food poisoning and shouldnt have even been fishing. But as I told the wife its not a passion its an obsession.:P I was passing out at the weigh in and had to bail home. Wish fishing coulda been better for all.

  9. Ended 3 for 3 in the Nee Hi with Fishwhisperer and his buddy.with a steelie and 2 small kings. Steelie and king on flatline firetiger hot and tot 100' back. Other king on 3 color with stingray hawgwild. A little bumpy in the Nee Hi so we fished 15-30 fow mostly. We started morning by running 9 miles north and working our way back south. Not our best performance but beat not fishing. Only got cut off by one jerk in a very large boat, but he was skunked so i guess thats karma for ya:p Had fun for my first Brown Blast. Winds were pretty strong.

Congrats to Don and crew.:) Good Job guys!

  10. I have not been bow hunting in 8 years but got an offer from a friend to go hunt with him on some private land. Set up everything last weekend and been shooting bow and all that jazz. Today was like opening day to me, i was like a little kid at Christmas.

Got out this AM, split trails with my buddy to head to my stand at new property. Hmm this is strange i brought a cord to haul bow cuz i forgot before but theres one on my stand. HHmmm that ladder stand has bolts in the legs, hmm my ratchet strap was strapped differently. HHmmm thats not my name on that stand. Hhmm thats NOT my stand. Same exact trails and shooting lanes i cleared though. No seat either. Thankfully there is an extra stand at back of property that i made it to right at daylight, no pad or safety harness. A little chilly and sore butt but got to hunt at least. No deer seen though.

Left stand and hooked up with buddy to go talk to landowner. No one home. This other stand is in the exact tree, similiar ladder stand, using 1/2 of my ratchet strap. Had a name on it. Just talked to buddy and i guess there is an old timer that hunts there too. They can't get ahold of him tonight. What a fiasco!! At least i have a chance of getting my stand back but what a strange day. At least i know who has it if i gotta call the cops.

Good news was i got to sit in the great outdoors on a beautiful morning. What else can ya do but laugh. Welcome to the goat rodeo!!!

  11. Many thanks to Capt Don as a great time was had by all!!:D Got my biggest steelie ever and my buddy came along who had never caught a steelie before. His arm was a littl sore by the end of the day:grin: Never fished like that in my life. Had fun bustin chops with the boys on a great morning. Finished last beer on way into docks. Doesnt get any better than that:lol: Great time guys. I may have too venture up to the mighty musk to meet up with Fishsniffer 1 and 2 next year. This was a great way to end my season!
