shu9265
Hi Everyone, I wasn't sure if I should post this in the forums, so here it is.http://stores.ebay.com/DollarFishing_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkmThis guy has all kinds of different sizes and types of snaps and snap swivels. These are NOT those cheap Wal-Mart types. These are look-a-like to Sampo's.I order a pack of 100 #48 pound test in black... These are really nice ! !And at .35 cents each including shipping, you can't go wrong. And Yes I am in the process of testing these for strength and endurance.Gonna torture some of them here at home, in the shop with a scale and see how well the hold up.Let me know what you guys think. shu9265
OK Everyone, I finally got some results. (I've been busy, sorry)I tried these swivels, and I could NOT get them to break! ! When I attempted to do a pull test on them, all I managed to do was get the loop, where you lure would be hooked up, NOT to open. Instead of coming open, the wire "cross lock" slid down the wire forming a very small loop at the bottom. BUT, It did NOT come open ! ! !I tested these buy, placing the snap (lure end) over a nail, and exerting approx: 100# of force on them. And instead of opening or breaking apart, the wire simply reformed itself into a smaller loop.I feel pretty good about these, and I will be using them on my boats tis year. I hope this saves some money for you guys. Bill.
