I have not boated on Lake Michigan before, but I am a Marine who has plenty of time on the water. I'm looking for discussion of what types of fish we can target, what basic rods and reels for a lake setup, etc. Not looking to spend a lot of money - just to be safe and have fun fishing with my sons.
