News Posted April 10, 2010 Share Posted April 10, 2010 Warm weather has brought more people to Wisconsin's ecologically-sensitive Kenosha Dunes lately, but not always for legal activities. DNR crews will be monitoring the 62-acre Dunes more frequently this year to reduce the number of vehicles, unleashed dogs and campers at the site. More... jvjbadger Posted April 10, 2010 Share Posted April 10, 2010 This is a 62 acre piece of city land next to the sewerage treatment plant, hardly the worth DNR observation. Teenagers go back there to drink beer, get high have a camp out. The best thing they could do with this land is make it a public dirt bike track and charge money to get in and create a little revenue for the city. The only reason they call it the dunes is because it's next to the lake and is sand, but 80% of the shoreline is the same way.
