tltorrice Posted September 3, 2008 Share Posted September 3, 2008 Fished the morning bite on Labor Day and set up straight out from the port of Manistee in 140 fow at 5:30am. Brad, Pat and I (Larry, Moe and Curly) set 4 lines two Dipsey Divers on Power Pro and two down riggers. Our glow meat rig on the diver picked up a fish and the Area 51 on the diver took 3 fish. As the boat traffic started to build we left that area in search of quieter water and set out some lead core. 2 full cores, a half and a 3 color. The full core with the superman j-plug took 2 fish. The 3 color with a DW Steelhead Cocaine took two steelhead. We ended up going 10 for 14. 7 Kings, 1 Coho, 2 Steelhead. We just kept picking away at the fish. Finally we decided we also had to drive home today so we stopped at 01:00pm. Here are some pictures. Brad with a nice fat king caught on an Area 51.
