  1. Fished from shore in the Milwaukee Harbor this Sunday. We fished for about five hours using skein. Only two bites. One hook up and one landed! Such a cool fish.
  2. Fished there on Saturday Evening. The boat traffic was nuts! Fished right where the harbor meets Lake Michigan. Saw lots of marks and lots of kings surfacing all around us, but only saw two people land a King. We were using spoons and didn't get any bites (well aside from two gobies my brother caught). I bet conditions have changed since it has been raining now.
  3. Carp eat corn. A LEGO head looks like a piece of corn, I think...
  4. I was stunned at how big this largemouth was. Caught in a pond in Southeastern Wisconsin.
  5. My son and I caught them like crazy! https://youtu.be/U60fYPeOQa0
  6. There's some saltwater YouTube fishermen who catch GT's, then release them and swim along with them. It looks really cool on video. I tried that with my kids in a little freshwater fish in a clear lake (Pine Lake - Waukesha County - Wisconsin).
  7. Took my boys out on their first fishing charter and we went 7 for 9. We left out of Port Washington. All fish caught were between 100 and 160 feet of water. The biggest fish was a nice steelhead. The rest were delicious coho and one small king.
  8. I took my boys out on their first fishing charter. We trolled from 5 am to 10 am and landed 7 out of 9. One big steelhead, one small king, and the rest were delicious coho (my favorite).
  9. I had a crappie time. Nothing but crappie fishing. Gotta say, fishing was crappie. Go ahead and watch this crappie video.. and I think that's enough.
  10. I took my youngest son to a pond hidden in the woods.
  11. I'm in a 10 week fishing tournament, and this week involved using grocery store food to catch five different species of fish.
  12. I was able to catch my first ever Greater Redhorse Sucker. They get pretty big. I was fishing in the Milwaukee River, a Lake Michigan Tributary.
  13. Here's the video. Cool place, but it is closed now because of COVID-19
  14. I tried to catch steelhead right by Port Washington, WI (Lake Michigan). I also had a set line in with a worm for possible suckers.
  15. My first ever burbot and an open water one, too!
  16. My first king salmon caught while trolling. Fished from Port Washington, WI
  17. The whitefish bite is on in this area. Baitbox on the Bay will give you a ride out onto the ice for $10. It's a nice service
  18. The Whitefish are in Green Bay in Lake Michigan right now.
  19. Good tips as you are fishing. I've never had luck catching largemouth in Lake Michigan, but there are nice smallmouth.
  20. This was a surprise catch - Video Link. I didn't expect to hook into a carp. I was jigging for browns or maybe a smallmouth, and a carp hit my tube jig.
  21. My buddy took me fishing in Lake Michigan out of Port Washington WI Here’s the video Started out at 100 feet of water, and made it all the way to 300 feet of water. We were using two down riggers and several planer boards. The best fish caught was a lake trout on a downrigger. The tastiest fish caught were some coho salmon. Those are delicious!!!
