  1. Caught my personal best brown trout in Milwaukee on a spinner. Such a pretty fish and this one was a big one!
  2. My son and I had an unbelievable fishing experience when we got to fish on a raft in the Wolf River last week.
  3. The Walleye Run has just begun on the Wolf River in Wisconsin, but what was really surprising was the fact that lake sturgeon, Mega huge prehistoric river monsters, will bite a little worm on the bottom and take you for the ride of your life.
  4. Had to work for this one. I put in a lot of walking around on big piles of rip rap casting crankbaits for hours and hours, but it was worth it. I was in the Port Washington Harbor.
  5. It was a good way to end the season...
  6. I don't have a boat to target the big salmon and trout in Lake Michigan, but I do know they come into the harbors in the winter and early spring. We were walking around the sea walls and caught four brown trout this weekend in Port Washington.
  7. Was testing out a new reel and had one on just as a tip-up went off!
  8. Ice fishing for panfish, but I put my underwater camera by my cutbait in hopes of getting a bowfin to bite. Lots of fish swam around the cutbait. It was a cool idea. I just wish one of them bit.
  9. Was ice fishing with tip-ups and I was jigging. A big bass took my jig, and then a flag went up, too!
  10. We caught a fair amount of Brown Trout including some nice ones on crankbaits this weekend in the Port Washington Harbor.
  11. The trout in the harbor are still biting. We caught some nice ones this weekend.
  12. BROWN TROUT! They were biting this weekend in the harbor. Here's the video (My son caught a fish in the strangest of ways on this trip, too).

  14. I took my new toy to the bass (and perch) pond to see if I could find some fish that would bite on camera, and it was a great day.
  15. My first time using an inline reel. I like this style I think better than a spinning reel for ice fishing.
  16. I'd been trying for weeks to catch some freshwater cod, and I finally got one. It was a big fatty!
  17. A surprise catch to say the least. Still fishing open water in Lake Michigan because the very thin ice on the inland lakes near me isn't thick enough to risk it on yet.
  18. A fishing company sent me a tackle box, so I loaded it up and then caught fish! I'm like a bridge troll.
  19. Took a crank bait over to the pond and caught some real nice Wisconsin Largemouth Bass.
  20. The secret pond isn't so secret to the otters (This pond is in Southern Wisconsin, by the way). They're in there, and chomping on the fish! I actually caught one with a chunk missing!
  21. Worms work for catching fish. Who knew?!
  22. Here's a creek fishing adventure, but there are big fish in here because the salmon have run upriver (coho and kings).
  23. Went up to the Peshtigo River in Peshtigo because I heard they have a Pink Salmon run. I was not disappointed. There were plenty of them in the river, and I managed to catch my first ever pink salmon, and so did my brother. No king salmon were in there yet, or I just didn't see them. Either way, it was an awesome trip. https://youtu.be/qjRGCJwSLtI

  25. I tried the closest spot to my house on the Wisconsin River, which is still over an hour drive, but not super bad like going to the Wisconsin Dells. Either way, I put the smackdown on the fish! It was a great day.
