  1. We took out a buddies 14' aluminium boat for the first time after it had sat behind his house for years. We set out for the bubbler for a few perch and started fishing. All of a sudden I hear him start screaming like a little girl. I look over and there was a mouse sitting on his leg. I picked it up and threw it into the lake and it swam away. He was pure white like this little bitty mouse was gonna kick his 6' 2 butt. I mean frozen in place scared. Probably a lot funnier for me than you reading this but hey....

  2. We also slayed them prefishing and then Sunday comes along and the fish were gone. They must have been south because all the boats I talked to that struggled went north. We ended up with 3 kings and 2 steelies for a whopping 19.4 lbs of fish. Oh well, at least I won one of the stainless steel props they gave away.

oh yeah...anyone want to buy a stainless stel prop lol.

  3. FWIW...that saturday maybe (has been in the past) the Gold Coast tournament. It could lesson participation for your event.

Otherwise I think moving the tournamnets to saturday would not only increase participation after the tourny but may very well increase it altogether. I know a lot of people who will NOT fish Sunday's at all. I totally understood with Caz's work situation why he wanted these to take place on Sunday though.

  4. Set the 3 color first attached to a board. Run this way out to the side.

Set the 5 color second attched to a board set to run opposite the 3 color. Run this way out to the side.

Set the 7 color next and run it to the same side as the 3 color. Run it a little more than half way to the 3 color board.

Set the 10 color to run the same as the 7 color only on the 5 color side.

When you reel in a fish on the 3 color or 5 color take the rod to the other side of the boat that the board is on. This will aid in clearing the 7 and 10 color boards. You can also have someone reel the 7 or 10 color closer to the boat as well.

When you reset the 3 or the 7 color make sure you have the board far enough behind the boat before you engage the drag that you can clear the 7 or 10 color boards.

also, make sure your 7 and 10 colors are far enough away from the boat that if your dipsies pop/take a fish that it doesn't come up into the core.

Probably made this sound harder than it really is.
