  1. well i made it out with my dad and a freind of his on board today ,and it was kinda slow

we set lines in 60 fow at 5:30am and went n.w. , the first fish came in 80 on a green glow j-plug down 55 on a rigger and also missed one in the same area ,next was a area 51 on a 10 coler and then it was just picking away at them till around 9 am when it get plain stopped

    the total was 4 for 8 , 3 kings 1 at 12lbs and 2 around 15 also a laker that went back

well it looks like the big boys have finaly got here becouse the other 4 that where farmed where all quality fish that ended in broken lines or just came unbuttoned becouse they did not want to stop

other set ups that took hits where a blue with white cruch glow spin dr. and hypnitist fly back 150 on the diver set on 1

danceing anchovie moon shine on a 12 coler

    and a number m18 proking on a 15 coler

AND IM GOING BACK OUT TOMMORROW:D

GJ Terry:) 4 for 8????? Are you playing catch and release. Sharpen hooks.

  2. The three over reminds me of two consecutive trips last year. Chuck and I were fishing on the Priority1. I had Chuck make a count and we headed in with what we thought was a limit. We ended up with 9 fish for the two of us. The next day we ended up with 11. I told him the fish cops will not understand your averaging methods. I recently put a Golf stroke counter on the key chain @ the helm. We box a fish the helmsman clicks the counter.

  3. RogerH69, Frank S, Surf and Turf (from MS), and I hit the water about 7:15. We were going fish with 5 aboard but we had a no show. I talked to the person earlier this morning and it was clear to meet at the launch @ 7AM. The 4 of us ended up with 17 nice walleye. We were in 28 FOW running 2 oz B.B. with harnesses about 35 down. I was tempted to switch to cranks and spoons, but I just keep pulling crawlers. This was the first time I fished with Frank S. It would have been the first time for the no show also. I hope everything is OK with the absent person. He never called, and I'm reluctant to call him.

  4. Have not got my big boards wet in 2 years since I went to inlines. Did not even move the mast over to the new boat hope to sell it with old boat. Wanna buy a 6ft mast and 2 Riviera triple boards? The inlines rule as long as you keep the deepest line closest to the boat I run copper on closest than full core then half core on farthest out. Got several Coho last year and some Steelhead on the outside boards put the fish in the box and reset without messing up other lines.

    Tight Lines

Yes the inline boards have come a long way. I have been running them for the past 2 years for walleye and salmon. I have had some old die hard fishermen onboard who still swear by the big boards. Once I got the heck of the little boards I never looked back at the big ones. My hardtop has two S.S. eye bolts high and up front on both sides. These eyes is where I would fasten my planer line. There are some advantages to running the big boards, especially with rookies onboard. A lot of the charter captains still run them. I may try mine again in the early Spring for the mixed bag we get around here.

  5. WTG Frank your gonna have to buy all new reels come the of the season couse there all gonna be wore out!

LMAO. I started this season with 8 new Okuma 20 series LC reels. I have an older Penn #9 as a backup. Any one want to buy some reels at the end of this season. Low mileage gently used by a elderly gentleman.

Would you believe I went through over 400 crawlers so far this yr, and some gulp.

Thanks again Sea-Mac for helping on the back of the boat and with expenses.:)

  6. GJ Toxic. You couldn't pick up the rest of the limit because you stopped chumming.:D

The only time I was ever sick onboard, I took an nap in the cuddy in some moderate seas. When I got up I headed for a bucket. I was fishing with my 4 bros, and they kept offering me beer and sandwiches. I told them to just toss the sandwiches in the pail, and bypass the middleman. As long as I stay our of the cabin, and can see what is causing the rocking, I will not get sick.:)
