  1. Nice boat Tony. You know I Love them Starcrafts. At one point I had two 22 ft SC Islanders and A P#@#%# Off wife. LMAO:lol: I hope to see that boat in action on the Bay this yr.:)

Thanks Frank we'll be out there and about the action, ahh lets just say

there will be a little lol:lol:

  2. Nice boat! 16 rods is a whole lot of lures in the water. That should get the fish in the box. What port do you normally run out of?

    Good luck this season!

Usually our main port is Ludington, and a little bit out of Frankfort, Manistee. Between the 3 we usually do decent.

Well here she is this pic is with the old riggers and since then i put 4 Big Jon's captain packs, Big Jon quad rod holders, Trax-Tec rigger board and 4 12 inch tracks for my dipsey rods, and a set of stainless steel triple rod bird trees, for electronics she has a Garmin 192c plotter matched with a Garmin fish finder, and a Moor Sub Troll 900. So this year we can run a total of 16 rods this year. With all them lures out there something should make a mistake...

  4. It is a big savings when you can make them your self. I do catch lots of fish on them to.

We make all of ours too, and yes it is ALOT CHEAPER to make your own its pretty simple to do.... Do you make different lengths we have some that are close to 4ft and do good with them, and if they dont tear them apart and shorten them up....

  5. We made it out Saturday morning on my new rig on the Saginaw Bay should have made the jump years ago, but we all know what i'm talking about [marriage, kids] But we did manage to get 9 real nice pre spawn walleye's in the 4 hrs we were out a few other boats were also doing good. But all in all it was great got to take the new boat out sure is a big difference going from 22ft aluminum to 27ft glass..........If anybody is interested my other boat is for sale, it has to go.......

  6. I was wondering how far above the weight you guys are attaching the release. I run 8lb balls and use DuBro releases attached right on top of the ball. Anyone attach them higher with a lead?
Muskybob i use the Big Jon band buster's so mine are just above the ball, i use 12# pancake on all 4 of my riggers, and i really can load the rod depending on what size rubber band i'm using... That's just my $.02
  7. I'm with you Caz i dont think the time factor is the problem or access to a computer either.I worked on a Charter both here on the East side for walleye's and on the West side for salmon we made sure every day to update our results. That's just my 2 cents..........

  8. I use 7 1/2 foot ugly sticks for my riggers, but like Mark said above the fish are hard to control at the boat but what a riot when you have a 15 or 20 pounder on the other end. But Sea Mac you should have no problems with a good 7' or 7 1/2 footer. Hope this helps but not much info. Hope to see you on the water.

  9. We just got back today at 3:00 fished this morning and managed to go 4 for 8 in the top half of the river. All the fish except 3 were dark and appeared to be in the river for a while the rest were chrome. So all in all it was a fantastic weekend. And didnt manage to "break" nothing. We had high water for both days which was good for fishing. Not a whole bunch of traffic on the water, which made accessing our holes pretty easy. So the forecast for anyone wanting to go up there is some fish in the river.I'll post some pics when i transfer them to the computer. So tight lines and bent rods......

  10. We left for the river Saturday morning around 5:00am with boat in tow, arrived at the launch around 6:15 to see that we were the first boat there:grin:. We left the launch and headed down river to the first hole,we anchored the boat and set up for the first cast. 4 casts later my brother said "fish",wrestled it to the boat it appeared to be a nice chrome hen about 8 pounds. He said as he put it in the cooler "one down five to go".After about a 1/2 hour no fish we pulled up and headed up river in quest for 5 more arrived at the next hole which this one treated us good we took 4 out in about 25 minutes, mind you it's only around 8 am or so and we already have 5 in the cooler:grin:. I said to my brother "if we keep going like this it will be an early day", :) we fished a little bit more there with nothing not even a sniff.. So we pulled up again and headed up to the next stop.We dropped anchor again, nothing for about 15 minutes and then i hooked what felt like moby dick, the fight was on for about 10 minutes or so and then we saw it my brother said wow thats a big brown, i wrestled that fish to the boat where we were just about to net it and the hook pulled out:angry2: for the next 25 minutes there was a lot of cussing going on by yours truly. So we managed to fish for a while with good success caught and released 2 little skippers. But we managed to boat our 6 th fish for the cooler so we caught altogether 9 for the day and headed back to the launch to go get some lunch and a cold one at Desi' in Footsite.

  11. I live on the east side and been fishing the Bay for 25+yrs numbers dont mean anything.Who knows Dan might have seen me pulling fish in the boat and hit "mark"and created his own waypoint.......lol

This fishery is exploding over here there are fish everywhere.

If anyone wants some #'s give me a shout i'll share, not like i'm going to empty the Bay.....
