  1. I don't have any good pics but I'll see if i can get some soon.

My Daughter in law with her first big lake fish, you can see the new long arm big jons on the out board side,we also added swivel bases to all four big jon riggers, we also took the teak trim off the transom and put down the diamond deck plates to reinforce, added side affect was that it looked better ya can also notice in this picture that she is pretty deep and that helps to brace when fighting fish.you can also see to the right of Billie the 2 Bert's rod holder's in slide tracks there is a matching set on the other side.there are also two 3 rod tree's mounted just out of frame with 50 watt driving light mounted on top of them they each have separate switches for the lights.

the two center teak doors on the transom open up to a single large storage area where we keep most of our spinny's ,dipsey's,j-plugs etc. all in Plano boxes.

this last pick is of the Tad Pole at home on the trailer(last years pic only two riggers),which by the way trailers as easy as a boat half here size.

she wasn't built as a fishing boat but with a little work a ton of money and a little creativity she has worked out pretty good.

  2. set lines at 6:00 pm in a 125 fow then nothing happened!!........................................ ...........................................after about a hour i decided to pull the full core and change the bait and after i got the board off i found out i had a fish on it turned out to be a 3# hoho.so i sent that green ladder back J-plug back out.

and then boredom set in.at 8:30 i started to set the sun set program and dropped moonshine lures on 7 of the 8 rods we had out.then things started to happen at a little after nine a rigger went with a lemon ice mag spoon set down at 50 ft. in 110 fow. another small coho.next one came at around 9:30 again on a rigger set to 65 in 100 fow. with the moonshine yellow tail again a small coho. last fish 9:45 pm my buddy from work was standing next to the full core when line started to peal he just looked at me(big lake rookie) i said Grab it billy!!well he struggled to get it out of the tree but finally did manage it, he jammed the rod in his hip as the drag was screaming he looked at me with the look on his face ::now what the hell do i do???:: i reached over and tightened the drag a 1/4 turn and it didn't even slow this guy down so i gave it another half twist still nothing now I'm getting concerned as the board is wayyy back there and the real can't have much left so i snatched the dipsey rod and handed to Jim and told him to crank it in i also grabbed the 7 color on the same side and cranked like a adrenaline junkie with a jack in the box!!finally things started to go our way we turned to run sideways to the fish and we started to gain ground on him. bout that time both billy and the fish were starting to tire and i finally got the board to the boat and i didn't have the heart to tell bill how much was still out there so i litt a smoke and started to put the gear away that we had pulled and when i had that done he was just getting into the 80' mono leaded so i grabbed the net it was all bill could do to lift the rod high enough for me no net the fish.turned out to be a 15# king, sadly our biggest fish of the year so far. oh the bait was a moonshine dancing anchovy.

we had a few other hits bill lost one and i lost when i had to crawl over the engine cover to grab the rigger rod while bill was goofing off with the baby king(what a Suzie)he came of after bout 15 sec. all in all not bad went 4 for six.

  3. Team Tad Pole had a pretty good day, we set lines a 5:00 am sharp in 130 fow on a nw troll and the first fish came shortly after that on the siggs rig fly on a 7 color with a blue spin doctor.

then from there we boated 2 more fish before 6:00,we worked the 130 to 180 range all morning and ended up 10 for 12 boated the last fish at 10:45 we took 5 fish on the dancing anchovy(moonshine)on a rigger set at 85 down and 2 on a blue dolphin on a full core for the life of me i can't remember what the other fish and hits came on??so all in all a pretty good day. sorry the pics aren't on the lake but i forgot the dang camera at home.

lol i didn't notice until now that the 10th fish is missing but i realized that john is holding waiting for me to take the pics.

  4. Ya know Frank its there choice ta give ya that dang key and you didn't twist there arm to get it so i think its there fault!!!just like when i finally get ya on the Tad Pole and that dang rod starts screamin and that 30 lbs King breaks off my favorite moonshine lure I'm not gonna ask you to pay for it!!its gonna be my fault cause if i hadn't wanted to take that risk i shouldn't have put the boat in the water!! Dang Crooks

  5. I"ve used that web page before and to my knowledge it is pretty accurate, sorry i would have posted it earlier but i wasn't thinking, in the summer time i concentrate on the big lake and forget all the other stuff as my brain will only hold a small amount and i need the room for the important stuff!!

  6. HaHA it was all in good fun,i once set a dipsey on the stern of the boat and a wave rocked the boat a little and over she went i just sat there and watched it sink, but seriously Tom i was just jokin a bit.once when pullin into a slip in manistee i killed the boat just in time to smack one of the pilings pretty hard kinda done that look checkin to see who had seen me.oh last summer in port sheldon at a WMFL event i had the boat in the water and a ton of boats were tryin to launch so i was kinda rushing and i forgot to lower the unit so i threw it in reverse and gased it man i got soaked( the guys standing on the dock all sinckered and walked away shakin there heads) ok i'm gonna stop theres more but i just realized that i have said too much already!!:o:o

  7. welcome aboard! your part of the world sounds like paradise.do you sell these rods on line or have a store? possibly ya have a link, i was thinking i might need a few more rods on the Tad Pole!20+ and counting
