1for1
tremendous current
icey cold water
huge bait balls of shad
current was so bizarre that with the one we caught PUG was running 1.4mph and it was the far inside board on our turn so the jplug had to have been going .5mph and when it hit all we noticed was the board disappeared and the line slacked and then about 10 seconds later the Chinook which had been running with the fast current launched in thee air about 50ft directly off the bow
Pug's friends at the DNR stopped planting Holland 3 years ago so this may be the last of the plants for us...
beautiful night out there! COLD

Thanks again for the heads up on the bite yesterday Littleboat
Shoot looking at the forecast PUG is going to have to retie ans redo everything for skinny water pierhead trolling come Thursday morning - substantial East wind is upon us!
-
8 for 9
2 mongo steelhead and the rest 2-3 year olds
very fun night and glassy calm
goofed by sliding out to 120-130 after setting lines because it turns out the bite was in 95fow on a south troll (at least for us)
copp300 moonshine mag green jeans
copp250 racket jaw
riggers with moonshine regular size down 50-70
all the action came at our following sunset... first 90min we has no activity
good eaters!

went on metal boat with 15yr old son this Thursday night off Holland. Lots of fish marking on the Garmin. We knew kings were in there because of the lunker he had gotten alone on rowboat in the morning. Lots of sheephead. 3 color had a king on mag moonshine greenjeans but she came off. Then the other 3 color with size3 mongoose starts screaming 20min after sunset. Not a king but instead a monster steelhead! Jumped 10 times. Anyways, didn't have to clean fish tonight because it was master angler and so beautiful that PUG voted we get it mounted

great job tonight FBD!
the gang and I struggled... lost 1 king south from piers in the 28fow on green jeans mag copp100 and then proceeded to boat 12 sheephead in a row over the next few hours - was fun but anticlimactic after a while - had numerous other hook ups that came undone early on and who knows maybe they were kings??
graph was nuts in there off the south end... son will try again tomorrow off his rowboat!

boys just left on a scout mission to Holland channel on ther metal boat - unfortunately for them they left PUG home so that is gonna hurt their odds
last night my 15yr old was fishing in front of Holland alone on a rowboat with just 2 rods in and he said matures were surfacing everywhere and he had one on right as the tstorm hit... pretty cool
last batch of Holland plants maybe forever!?

nice work and what a beautiful night it was
what port were you out of?

good job guys! you win - pug got skunked gambling inside 60fow all morning - 0for1 - lost a beast on a dipsey out 75 in 58fow at 630am and that was it! graph was just littered with staging fish that simply would not bite - bummer of it all is I don't think we are gonna get a cold front until at least first week of October

2for2
158fow copp350 green ladder size4 plug
70fow meat rig
marks were insane inside 70 on bottom and it appeared to be matures waiting it out but no takers there
