  1. I'm sure it will be somebody besides me. I don't fish well under pressure. So I just have to say GOOD LUCK to all boats and I surely hope EVERYBODY has as much fun as we do...
  2. I have to fully agree with Brian on this one. Ice should NOT be an issue. Leave it the way it is....
  3. Don't sell yourself short Tim. I think a lot of people have a scale like yours....hehe...
  4. Larry, Read my post. ALL of my post....even the stuff I quoted from you.
  5. That is a nice 40lber and a couple nice 30lbers. But we caught a 60lber on Friday night. and Troutracker had a 80lber on Saturday Eve.
  6. Larry we have heard about your Easy Salami before.
  7. Fishslayer I have to appologize. It wasn't until my wife read the post and said hey you idiot you didn't answer the guys question he asked about mono. Well with 25lb mono you want to make ABSOLUTE sure you cut the line clean and don't leave those little clipper spurs on the mono. If you have those little flattened out spurs it catches all the way down the sheathing. A good sharp pair of finger nail clippers work great.
  8. FISH ON!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!! and in three and a half seconds Caz's glow runs out.
  9. I should also add. That last night I learned that some things have changed with Johnsons Outdoors and the issues I have had in the past have apparently been resolved. So I guess I can give them another chance. Congrats on the tourney. Bummer you finished out of the cash. You will get them next time. I think the Eagles are having their tourney next weekend. But that also coincides with the Caz Event. Till Next Time.
  10. Minnow perhaps we should exchange phone numbers at some point. I could have put you on bigger fish I think. We fished out there Friday night went 12 for 16 and found bigger fish. There were a LOT of fish being caught in that 120 to 170 range. Good job though.... Sounds like it was a good time.
  11. Thanks Tim, Of course we learned everything we know from you.
  12. It is much easier to use 20lb mono for your leader. As far as puting the superlines in the sheathing. Steve Arend has a GREAT idea. Get a VERY small sewing needle. Thread the needle with your power pro and feed the needle down the sheath. OF course watch your fingers so you don't get poked. ANother way is to get some of the old school elmers glue the white stuff. Take about six inches of your power pro and with your fingers saturate the power pro with the white glue. Kind of whipe of the excess and let sit for a little bit. THe glue will stiffin up the braided line and you can then feed it into the sheath. But the needle thing is the quickest. And least messy unless you are a bleeder.
  13. Yes there has been some controversy there in the past. I talked to one of the fellows friday night that said he was taking care of the money and he was all on the straight and narrow. But there was a time back a while when they were putting on the white lake tuesday night tourneys and there was some issues with the rules stating a 100% payout but it wasn't the case. I know a lot of good fisherman stopped fishing those because of the misconduct.
  14. Bev and I are very excited to fish this event. I expect this will be a lot of fun...Plus get to fish with one of my old school buddies. Heck I do believe you are the first person I fished with out of Port Sheldon.
  15. HAHAHAHA....Yes Dave....I think I have noticed the same thing before....There is also usually some silly juice involved.
  16. Minnow not to start too much controversy here...But take a calculator with you. Add up all the entry fees and such. Then start subtracting the payouts for the top finishers. See how much money is left over.
  17. Are they having a salmon tourney or just a bass walleye tourney for maritime?
  18. Ken i don't see your boat out there......
  19. Caz the full nelson is the lemon ice looking spoon.
  20. Depends on if we remember to bring it or not. But we use a 10 million candle power spot light. Put the lure right close and charge for about thirty seconds. Or we use the 2 million candle power spotlight and do the same thing. Or we use the 50 watt dock lights if we forget boths spot lights. Same thought. Hold the lure about an inch from the lense for about 30 seconds and send it down.
  21. Spinny and fly took four of our five fish. On a fireline dipsy set on 2 75 feet back. The other one came on a mostly orange spoon with orange christmas tree tape and gold blank on a half core.
  22. we finished 8 for 11 all kings. Mostly anything with Green on it...or a rasberry dolphin. Same water as above because they followed us around all morning...hehe.... was fun though...weird how about 8:30 the fish just stopped.
  23. Steve was that before or after you tared out the scale?
