Caz, Put team Midway in for this one, I already have a campsite, just need to finish rounding up a crew.

Well the gods have conspired against me yet again or at least the people working our new software program, seems their 7 weeks into a 5 week project and almost 50% done Makes you feel good huh. So my trip to Oswego has been postponed "for a long time" Hows the ice fishing out there ????? Maybe I'll just try and throw together a long weekend trip, so I can say I did it.

No I didn't plan to bring teh boat in June, just the 3 weeks in July. would love to get some info during the june trip though

Hey are any of you Ontario Fishermen going to be in the Oswego area the week of 19 June?? Got a week of "prep" training before the july actual training and would like to do a little Meet & Greet with some of you local guys to get a general "lay of the land" so to speak. Please let me know, I'll be staying at the Captains Quarters (?) Best western I think.

As the schedule is now, I go out for the week of 19 June, then back out for the last 3 weeks of July. Planning to take the boat in july, hoping to tie into some of those monster kings.

Made it out with Steve (Running Arends) and Steve (Huntingfool43) this morning. Hit the lake about 6am ran out to 80 fow and started setting up... Worked out to 140 then flipped course. Overall 8 for 13 (Threw back a small greaser Kept a @12# greaser) Yellow/green PK on a rigger, double orange crush Raider on 1/2 core and blue bubble fly on a tin can were our most productive. Fish were scattered all over the area and up and down the water column. Fishing was slow and sporadic but after the weather we been having, the lake was almost mill pond smooth. Thanks for going along Steve's :D

I started with 2 cannnon manual sport troll's, used them for years and just last year bought a pair of mini-mags electrics on ebay. Extremely happy with them. I'm planning on buying another set of electrics and playing swap between boats.

I agree with Rick on everything he's said. I used to fish my Islander by myself out of Waukegan/Great lakes area. Only thing I would have to add is I stayed well away form the crowds and would only go out in lite wind/wave conditions. Meant less trips but I still got out fishing.

Great report Skeiner... I hope to be able to tie into a few of those Ontario hogs while I'm over there in July.

It's easy to see Steve didn't share the waypoint . We made it out to 120 fow and started trolling west, to 140 fow, turned back east and took our fish on a copper rig with the TNT moonshine. Apparently the hungry fish were further N that where I was. Lost another on the copper with a glow green spook raider. Good time spent with the guys and looking forward to trying again.

Color make a HUGE difference... I see Mark (adjusted) has his old unit for sale, a real nice unit for a good price.
