  1. Go to the St Joe launch across the river. It is definitely much, much better. Docks are not underwater, well taken care of, great cleaning station, you won't get your truck broken into, wash down hose by the docks. Just make sure to get a pass at the machine. Well worth the $5.
  2. King fishing is great right now, about as good as it gets for numbers and spring size. We went late to avoid the rain. Set lines at 9:45am, had 2 rods down and the first one went with a big king. Ended up 10 for 14 with our limit at 12:40. 9 kings and a coho. Rigger down 60 ft with a blue bubble spin doctor. The other rigger had a mag blue dolphin dw and green dolphin super slim slider down 65 ft. Mag divers with a blue chrome spin doctor and a holographic paddle on the other both out 130ft. A 300 ft copper with a mag moonshine carbon 14 and a 225 ft copper with a moonshine mag razer burn both took multiple fish. Pic of the lures that took bites below. 100 to 120 ft of water was best. My buddies in another boat got their 20. It's on right now, nice size fish, we had 2 over 20lbs. Good luck!
  3. Nice catch on a quick trip!
  4. Some great fish and pics there!
  5. Nice catch Bob! Lake Erie is hot too, my buddies got limits this week while I'm at work, can't wait for the weekend.
  6. I'm sure your report helped some people, you never know what is out there until you go. You finished strong after covering all that empty water.
  7. Great start for the season!

  11. 4 salmon and 2 whitefish is not over limit. Could have caught one more salmon or trout and 10 more whitefish. The steelie has this plug in his mouth with my skein down his throat. Some angler was bummed.
  12. I was kind of bummed when my girls backed out at 8PM after I told them to pack their heaviest winter clothes and extra sweat shirts and pants because it was going to be windy and cold...."we had enough of ice fishing dad!" I ended up fishing alone. It was nasty for the morning with a ripping north wind and waves breaking over half the pier making that part unfishable. I don't think my girls would have enjoyed those conditions. I set up by the beach and picked away at the fish. Early they came on steelie skein on the bottom. That took the whitefish, brown trout and gold loaded steelie. When the sun came out late morning, a coho bite took off with a piece of shrimp and half nightcrawler off slip bobbers 7 ft down. Lost a couple coho's and blew my chance for a limit. Probably my last pier trip this year now that my big girl is out of the barn.
