Thanks for putting this together we had a blast. It looks like we missed an awsome fish fry but we ended up having to come in early because of some beer induced sea sickness. So we had to hit the afternoon bite. I hope to catch up with you guys at the next outing.

Looking forward to a relaunch of our old salmon boat. It will be the first fishing trip on it in 6 years. We just took it out for a wet test yesterday and got everything going We should be all set to get tangled friday afternoon and saturday morning., good news was we didn't sink and the motor ran great. The bad news is I spent 8hrs yesterday trouble shooting eletrical problems with the nav lights and interior lights. It really sucked.
I will see you guys FRIDAY:thumb:

I have a 300' and a 150' copper setups. On the attomic they say 300' is around 88', in my trollers book it says 40', And mosty charts I see have it around 70' All speeds are 2.5.
I just need some direction on what is close.
And is a 150' close to a full core
Thanks STEVE

Dont ever buy a boat with out a water test. A load on a motor totaly changes the dynamics of the engine and gears. I know from experiance.
Buyer be ware

I have a 300' and a 150' copper reels that I am planning on putting on ugly stick 6'6" M/MH rods. They will be the only rods on planner boards. Should I be looking for lighter or longer rods or are these Ok to use.

I just have the factory clips I was planning on looping the braid around the clip twice to get it to hold. Or is there a better replacment clip out there I need
I have problems with the clips holding big jon mini discs and walleye spoons.
Thanks Steve

OK I just bought my copper reels And rods and got them all spooled up to try in 2 weeks. My last question is can I run flashers and flys off them or would that be 2 much drag for my walleye boards.

Just out of curiosity what time do you guys head for the lake. I usually like to be out in the dark and set up in the daylight (walleye). Or should I be fishing before light. And if any of you guys fish friday night what time should I head out. I was thinking if setting lines Around 5 and being back to the ramp around dark.
Thanks Steve

Thanks I will be using shorter leads this year. Last year I was only running DRs so I had nothing to tangle with out side. This time I am going to be tring the whole package so avoiding tangles will be my number 2 priority after getting a fish or 2 for the kids.

heres another newb question. Last year i was running my leads off the ball like 50 -60' Is this wrong or just preferance. I wanted to run shorter leads but was affraid the ball disturbance would deter the fish.
