Chamberlain Release horizontal settings
Turns out= pounds (in tenths)
0 = 4.5
1 = 3.0
2 = 1.9
3 = 1.0
4 = 0.6
5 = 0.3
6 = 0.0
-
I have my tension backed out 5 turns, which equates to 3/10's of a lb of release pressure. On that setting I had no problems with hook ups last week at South Haven.

What size does everyone use
Light
Med
Heavy???
There is only one size to the Chamberlains. They are adjustable for both down pressure (rod) and release pressure (lure). I adjust mine depending on time of year and species I am targeting.

Tony, Give Keith a call he can help you with that. He is always willing to talk fishing. He told me the remedy for that but I got CRS half the time and don't remember the other half.

Great story ! Glad you got out after em !!!

Best release on the market today. Work great with walleye too.
-
Hands down the best release on the market. I have the stackers and they work as well as the releases. Since I went to the Chamberlains I don't worry about dragging a fish around anymore. They release every time. Keith is a great guy and is really willing to help out in any way he can. He was at the GR Show this year and was happy he drove the 15 hours to get here.
And yes they work great on the walleye.
Captain Chucks in Ludington had them last year also.

That ain't fishin...that's catchin !

Nice iron noggin !
-
Nice job on both the fish and helping out.
-
You caught them all in the morning. Wasn't any left.
-
Good report ! Get yourself some Chamberlain releases for your riggers and you won't be dragging small fish ever again.
-
Nice catch !
-
It was a great day and there wasn't many other boats to contend with. Good catch !

Much better start this year Ken. Last year started with a blown motor.
-
Started out right by the piers and before I had the second rod down the first one was bucking. Ended up to be a small iron noggin. After that all hell broke loose for the first 45 minutes with the coho, then a short lull and picked off a few more. Ended up 16 for 21. Had to throw the last one back, it hit as we were pulling rods. Anything orange. Riggers 10' down 40 back smashed banana and another spoon I don't know the name of. Orange Crawdad HJ 14's, orange Hot N Tot, Orange and gold Salmo minnow bait and orange and red Tadpolly all took fish. I set all the baits 30' behind the boards. And ran high lines 100' and 150' back.
Ahoy there friends

A warm welcome to you also Rodney ! I love those baits you painted up for me last winter. They worked well on the bay.
