  1. joe,get her out for a ride on one, might change her mind.frank has another showroom here in michigan too,so you dont have to drive all the way to chitown.it is quite a suprise when you see the actuall price of theses boats.

  2. cant waite to see the end product of the lighting project frank and the boys are doing on my boat.2 shadow caster scm10 underwater leds,3 led dully spreaders from rigid industries on the back of the hard top 2 white one red,2 6" light bars from rigid on the radar mount facing foward and 32 ft of red strip lights in the hard top and under the gunnels.

you talk about mentoring our children and dont want bloody gory pics on forums?what happens when you gill hook a fish and its pumping blood..what happens when it comes time to clean the catch?does it get any gorier than that..we are raising our children more and more in a wussified america to the point where everyone gets a prize..win or lose..they are going to be set free in a world that is dog eat dog and they wont know how to deal with it..im all for removing bullying from schools and things like that but there is a point in time where we need to prepare our children for the real world..i havent seen the pics your talking about to give an opinion on them..but to shield kids from what theyre gonna see when they catch and clean doesnt make sense to me..just my opinion

:thumb they will see a lot worse than a little blood n gore, the net is a twisted place.i myself would not let my kids(if i had any)on the net without supervision.my kids would find out about the blood n gut first hand anyway:D

  4. Matt talked to tunas a couple months ago about upgrading a couple of my older okumas. during the conversation we got onto which is the better reel he claims hands donw that the gears and inner workings are much better quality and finish than the okumas. He said he would take a shimano over a okuma any day including the top end okumas. So this is coming from a reel tech also not a driver. With tunas reputation i would tend to listen to what they say more than others. I am not saying the okumas are a bad reel. I have used and abused mine for years. but when you fish the two side by side there is a noticable difference.

thats exactly what he told me too. when it comes to fixing reels tunas works on more reels than anyone else around here.they even have out of state saltwater guys sending there stuff from florida for their expertese.tunas word is good enough for me

  5. You go tell him that, hes been a charter for over 30 years and fixing reels for the same

i think 90% of the people on thie site would agree with me.there is no way you can consider the tekotas junk.i have owned most makes and models and the tekotas are the only one that make people say"wow thats the smoothest rest i have ever used" thats why everybody loves them for wire:thumb:

i wonder if you set a pile of tekotas and a pile of whatever okuma on a table and told people they could have one free which pile would be gone first:rolleyes:

i am not saying all the others brands are junk, they all make a decent reel these days.but to say the tekotas are junk,i stick to my original statement

  6. I was told by a guy who fixes reels, he said that the okuma CV are the best looking reel inside and you couldn't pay him to fish with a tekota. Its not the money cost he said there built like crap.

i think your buddy may have been drunk;)

  7. i have had troll masters on my last 2 boats and will have it on my new boat too.i would not own a kicker without one.i would drill any holes in the controller.3m makes some heavey duty velco that i used on the last one.its not like the black furry strip that came with the troll master.it will actully hold:D cant coment on the controll king, never used one.

  8. Thanks tad pole
