  1. Mike You didn't confuse me... I know Keating fishes in what we call the Flatlands...

I'm going to map out the structure after we've gotten over it with the Chartplotter, but until then I'm going Scuba Diving at "The Nets" Why not the fish will be right there waiting for me...stuck in the Nets.....I think it's a great idea...

Oh and Thanks for the advice Mike...Glad you found your trailer...

I've just been watching on your site while I'm not able to fish.. but I will have pics of Riggers on Our Baby soon....It'll be awesome.

  2. Good Morning all,

I'm rigging the boat for salmon fishing, Yet I've never fished WHITE HALL, Need some help with the structure and Good Fishing spots off of White Halls Coast Line, Does anyone have any advice o good locations of Structure where the Kings might be???

I'm studying a Chart and there's a deffinent shelf drop off near 145FOW and 235FOW straight out from the Piers, So What else does anyone else know about this fishing Area, any help would be wonderful?

  3. I used the 3M 5200 as a Sealant and an Adhesive, I coated the inside edge of the hole I drilled with the hole saw, with 5200 to seal the wood off, then injected it into the screw hole and then ran a bead around the outer edge of the hole to seal and glue down the rod holder and to bond it as one with the glass, I do not ever expect to remove these holders ever. And I didn't want to have water issues EVER with this application, so I used 5200 generously and wiped off the excess with a Damp paper towel...

And Yes the wife was watching, Funny I could hear her grinding her teeth over the sounds of the 1/2" Milwaukee drill, drilling the holes...hahahahah but when all was done, she said Damn that looks so professional....that made me feel good, I knew then she wanted to go shopping so I kicked her off the boat....and cut some 6-1/4" speaker holes....God I was having fun...

  4. I cut the holes for the ROD holders last weekend, cut two of them, one each side took about thirty minutes, even while the wife watched...hahaha I need to install the probe transducer on the aft, and then the trolling valves.......Yeah she's getting there piece by piece......The Rod Holders are mounted in 2" of wood and fiberglass, and 1/4 x 2" Stainless screws with 3M 5200, I don't think they are going anywhere....

  5. OK Well this man, is going to have to learn how FEESH all over again and at the same time learn to manuever a large boat into a fishing pattern. Good thing it already has Auto pilot...that's going to help a lot and the fact that there's not many boats out of White Hall when fishing give me plenty of room to play with it...ut I'm going to drop the wire dipseys out and then learn the riggers all over again. My MANS Mechanic is all set to install the trolling valves and set them up in the spring...GOD I can't wait....but I'm back to watching the Keating on Kings DVD's and learning the ropes as they say......

My wire Dipseys always produced for me... so I'm going to be relying hard on them first couple times out.... it's going to be a learning summer for sure..

  6. I couldn't agree with you more, the more you can use your boat for, the better buy it actually is for you, and it must be powered thinking forward...More power then you'll ever need is the best way to buy..Mine has 1400hp and I don't feel I'll ever need to run them at WOT....not to mention they are from Germany..a little more expensive but worth it in the Long run...and I mean Long run like 40 years man.... that's cause you have to depreciate them over your lifetime..

This is ours purchased out of Wisconsin....Gotta Love it, can't wait to reel in some Salmon on this baby.

As for an Idea for where to visit, Come to WhiteHall/Montague, it's beautiful and Has lot's of Feesh

We're slipped there, and man I can tell you, it's a wonderful place to go and visit...

  7. Frank, I have the sony Cyber shot, and I love it for being on the boat, you can hold it in one hand and make all your adjustments in the same hand... this is my second one only cause I wanted more mega pixels for blown up shots and the zoom is 10x it's Awesome

  8. Uhmm.. Let's see, I'm having a stainless Railing made for the swim platform, so we can fish off the platform Safely(mama said keep the salmon blood and guts off the boat)...

Adding a whole new sound system to the bridge all JL Audio Component speakers (12) and (2) 10" JL Audio Subwoofers. Another 10" subwoofer and 4 speakers in the Cockpit(I call it a Patio).

Adding two more rod holder holes in the Gunwales and I have to put a new transom sensor for the FishHawk that I let go with the 320 I sold.

Wire in the two Riggers into the two cabinets port and starboard.

That aut to keep me busy for most of the winter, plus everytime I go over to Montague to work on the boat, I have to take the wife with me,she's going to polish the topside of the boat with me.......imagine that!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Nailer, I'm wondering, have you been down there at the bottom and diagnosed this Lock jaw problem..??? My Doc says I have TMG and I'm thinking this is why I'm not catching Fish.....hahahah Just kidding, your a great Guy and thanks for your generosity this year buddy....The fish was greatly appreciated.
