  1. Fished from 6 to 830 with Fishwhiperer in the Nee Hi. Ended up 3-3 with 2 kings and a throwback laker. 8color with 4oz snap weight took 1st king in 100fow on green dolphin. Next King on Mountain Dew SD with Noo Seeum out 300'. Shaker laker on 300'copper with some spinnie fly combo?? Little rough out but not too bad. Fished 95-130 fow south of pierheads. No late bite still.

  2. Went 2 for 5, maybe 6 or 7. Trolled from 85' out to 200' and back into 130fow. Fly bite was trick again. 1st fish at 730 on dipsy set on 2 175 back with white hootchie glow fly, 95 fow, nice king lost at boat. 2 rips on 6 and 8 color with MS Spoons for just a second. Blue spatter back J with about 12 oz. snap weight in 140fow took out line and then spit hook after about 3 minutes. :angry2: Next 2 were on Mountain Dew SD with No Seeum back 350' dipsy on 2. 150 fow and 175fow. Both small kings but thankfully got that skunk out:). LOst small king on pearl jplug in 150fow on 4 color with 3oz dive bomb. Got tangled in other core:rolleyes:. Great day to be on the water!! Saw a small laker at cleaning station along with some nice perch. 1st fish in boat at 1030 and stayed till about 1pm.

  3. Fishwhipserer, his buddy and I set lines at 120fow. Worked out to 150fow. Ended up 3 for 4. 5-7-9# Kings. Nice chrome. All flie bite. Dipsies out around 300'. Everything early, no late bite at all:confused:. Pulled lines and headed in only with the boat to die at 60fow. No other boats out. Had to wait for a tow. At least nice weather and all made it in safe. Late night though. Thanks for another great trip Randy!

BTW I picked up Randy and had Edmund Fitzgerald rockin out and he said "Don't u know thats a bad omen.":slow(en): All forgot cell phones-1st, GPS died-1st, Handheld Radio dead- 1st. Main radio worked but stuck on 16. At least it was 16.

  4. Fished from 6-9 pm ended up 1-1. A 9# king hit setting out my 3rd board in about 105fow. 8 color with 8oz snap weight- MS Happee Meal. THought that was good sign but not another take.:( Beautiful night on the lake and good times with buddy BSing and enjoying the sunset.:) 95-125fow. Fished dipsies with SD and fly, dipsy with Jplug, 3color J, 4,6,8, full core with variety of spoons with and without snap weights. Most marked fish were quite deep. Had my first leadcore disaster since using core all summer, which sucked but i made it all summer. Full color wrapped in dipsy:angry2: bye bye full color lead.

No skunk and nice weather... ill take that any day over not going.

  5. This was my best year ever, although it was my first! I have learned so much this year and really am happy with 2-3 fish average for my trips. I believe only 1 skunk this year which is pretty good for my 1st year. Next year will be better as i continue to learn.

  6. That was taken on Black Lake. We smoked the walleyes that year. In the 2 days I fished (1-01-03/1-02-03) with your uncle and cousin, we iced 18 walleyes. I limited twice. Derek was fishing almost every day that year and iced 78 walleye that season. They called me up at the peak of the run. Few walleyes taste better then Black Lake walleyes. Maybe if you treated you uncle better, he'd call you as well.:lol::grin:

Well maybe i will have to slip him some salmon come Christmas! Derek is an amazing angler as well. I'm gonna send the pics to my old man, he'll get a crack up out of that. Who would think that my uncle would be all over the internet, in a good way!!:D:rotflmao:

  7. I never take the beer out of the fish cooler to put in other cooler until there is a fish in there and sometimes the beer still stays in there:grin: Adds flavor!

Never assume/say that you are going to slay 'em or that a fish is caught until its in the cooler.

Most importantly, do NOT trust NOAA predictions!!!!!!

  8. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Went 1-4 in 80-120 fow. Took hits on core spoon bite. Heading back in am hopefully according to NOAA Late bite on glow. Lost 2 NICE fish after 5-10 minutes:angry2:. Little rough on ride out but turned out nice.
