Hey Frank... You let Scott buy a home around you?? There goes the property values.
Did you make it out Monday?? I doubt it.

Scott, I'm working on having a personalized sign made for that spot. Just because you come up from Flint and buy a place around here doesn't get you a key to the city. We'll square off and settle this in the parking lot. Tight Lines and hope to see you soon.
LOL!!!! You got it!! Still fishing around the corner from yeah and doing good but i'll be up that way soon!!:thumb:

Got a chance to get back out of Au Gres again and JWheeler went with me and we ended up 8 for 8! Had to work for them but it was a great day on the water! Fished from Point Lookout down to Pt Au Gres and in between! No real pattern at all! Husky jerks in clown was the best!

Headed out Sat. morning and headed north a few mile after hearing of some fish being caught up there! Set up in 25 fow and didnt do nothing as the water was gin clear! Picked up and headed back south and a little shallower and found some stained water! Set up and didnt take long and hit a fish! Worked that water for a while and ended up going 4 for 7 pulling Husky jerks and smithwick minnows, orange and gold was the best colors! Fish died after the wind switched out of the east but it was a beautiful day to be on the water!

Cool deal! I think the smelt are really comming back in Huron! They actually did really good dipping them in the spring north of Au Gres last yr! It'll be interesting to see what this spring brings!
-
Alot of good info here!! I take my walleye boat down to St Joe a couple times in the spring! I usually just run some mono high lines with plugs and then i like to run the small disc divers with a small orange flasher and a peanut fly and just run them directly off the back of the boat! I do like running my short cores,1,2 and 3's but i also like to run some 5's and 7's if im not in a pack and i'm out deep enough! The last couple yrs i've taken some nice kings on the deeper cores! Hope this helps and good luck!!

A good friend of mine went out of Manistee this past weekend and they got a 34# king and it was weighed on a certified scale. They sure are running a lot bigger this year.
Nice fish! Where was this fish weighed?
