  1. Was planning on coming over today, but my slot trench drain field flooded, grounds saturated. Pumped it out with the bilge pump from my litte boat 720 Gal hr. worked slick, got a couple days to dry it out and put it back together. Sounds like I'm safe waiting to maybe next week. Keep the reports coming.

I'll be fishing the west side this weekend!! Hope she didnt muddy back up again!! I'll leave a report!

  2. Well it was my first weekend back up to Manistee salmon fishing and it turned out pretty good! Pre-fished Friday and had a great day catching some fish and some quality fish!! Fished down south towards Point Sable in 140 to 160 fow! The fish were deep so deep riggers and big dipseys were the ticket!!

    Couple of kings from Friday!

So Saturday morning (tournament day) we head south back to where we got them on Friday! Didnt hit nothing for the first 30 minutes then started going! Ended the day 13 for 18 and had just over 105lbs for our 10 fish for our first days weight putting us in 2nd place on the am side! Sunday morning came and we had a 2 hour weather delay and so by 8 the weather had cleared and we were back on the water! Head back to our area and things had changed! Temp cooled some and the nasty green water that was there had cleared up from the nw winds we had Saturday afternoon. Didnt hit nothing at first so I moved into some shallower water and had a double on high divers! Got both of them and hit another and missed a couple! Landed 1 more then nothing for the next 2 hours! A big storm poped up to the south so we just trolled north and nothing so I moved out o 190 fow and started marking a few. With only about 20 minutes to go the center deep rigger goes and its on, then the low diver goes and we have a double! Get both fish in with 10 minutes left to fish and we are pumped cause we know its been a tough bite for alot of people!

After all is said and done we end up comming in 2nd place in the am side and we end up winning the 333 event having over 48lbs with our 3 biggest fish!! My nephew on the Trout Scout won the pro side edging out Paul from Riverside!! So all in all it was a great day for the boats at Riverside marina!

  3. To be honest fishing during the day is a waste of time. The water is sooooooooooooooooooooooo clear here. Its nothing to see bottom in 60 plus feet of water. Priority1 may be able to give a little insight on that. People try, but not to much avail. When they're stacked in close to grass island They can be caught during the day. Some of our best walleye tournament guys struggle to catch more than one or two in a whole days worth of fishing.

HhhMMMM!!! You can catch fish in clear water!! I just did it last weekend north of Au Gres and I have a buddy that fishes Thunder Bay alot and he said they did really good last weekend in a tournament they had up there and he said there were alot of fish caught!! Oh and it was daytime!!:thumb:

  4. Sorry for the late report! Well after a bad tourny on Saturday I was able to get out fun fishing with my son and father-in-law and what a great day we had! Didnt set a line until around 10am and fished till 4 going 13 for 25, i know not a very good catch rate!! Anyways we fished north of the pack out of Au Gres and had 1-18" fish and the rest were 2.5 to 4 lbs and lost a couple of bigger ones!! 3oz bottom bouncers and 2oz in-lines with purple blades were the ticket!! Wish I could have gotten to these fish on Saturday but I wasnt going to beat myself up making that 30+ mile run!! Giving the walleyes a break and heading up to pick on the salmon this weekend!!

First 2 fish of the day!
