I have found that I can use my Bert's into traxstech tracks, and been told the same about the cannon tracks.
Traxstech has a different finish than the other two, all are still effective in holding the rod holders in place.

Double checking the product number isn't a bad idea. But if it is a convector it should be the same as any other convector, but remember they have the CN and CV models.

Dave, look on the bright side. All hands and boat made it back home. Could have been worse, thankfully it wasn't.

Nice I still recommend replacing the drags if you can. I would also change the clicker to one of the metal ones. It makes a much louder click. Tuna Tom can get you set for under 20 for both reels, I think.

Welcome to the site John. There are a lot of helpful folks on here, so feel free to ask any questions. Enjoy

I agree with everything said. They'll work just fine. Drags can be upgraded when you have time or money.

Congrats Nick! Glad everyone is well.

Don, that was the greatest suggestion. Thanks for sharing that with me earlier this year. I love the clean look as well as the function. Simply Awesome!

I used a Size 8 spro swivel, #50. Works awesome. I got mine from Cabelas. Put it on with haywire twist with shrink tube over it.
-
I use a couple of Cabelas 45's with upgrades drags from Tuna Tom. The the upgrade will cost you about 10 bucks. The reels are frequently on sale, but you have to watch for them. They aren't a horrible reel but there are better ones too. Not bad to start out, but the drags have to be replaced for smooth operation. Just my two cents.

I use the #8 Spro regular swivel with shrink tube. Goes through guide with no problems.
