  1. 17.5 1990 Lowe Salmon fishing boat

70 HP Johnson motor (The boat motor has been rebuilt in 2012)

MinnKota Co pilot/Auto Pilot new in 2012

Currently has 2 Cannon uni troll 10 riggers mounted

6 rod holders 2 for dipsy divers 4 for running long lines

9 vertical rod holders for storage

    New bilge bump 2013

    New wiring and fuses 2013

Serviced and stored inside since I owned the boat (2nd owner)

Flood light at back of the boat for night fishing

Lowe bunk trailer comes with the boat

Trailer has new tires in 2012

Trailer has new lights in 2013

    The good:

The boat is SOLID and runs like a top in ALL weather. I fish this boat from February through November. The runs 20-32 with the kicker on the back and can handle the waves of Lake Michigan. The boat is cheap to run. Fishing on the boat for salmon costs 15-25 dollars per trip depending on how far off shore we go.

I had the motor rebuilt last year and it has less than 50 hours on it. (We use the main motor to run to our fishing area and the kicker to fish.)

    The bad:

I am the second owner of this boat an it does have 20 years of cosmetic scratches in the paint ect. The carpet shows its age as it was used by its previous owner and could be replaced. The boat however has never had any structural damage or patches.

Some things that are not included (but could be for the right price) are the Honda kicker and the down riggers.

I am willing to water run it for serious buyers.

    Asking $5500

  2. I have not had issues when I changed from mono to braid

Mono has more drag and causes the diver to not run as deep as well as the stretch kinda sucks if your fishing deep.

    Some food for though:

-My flasher fly bite this year has been JUNK!! maybe run some 10' leads off your divers and put on some mag spoons. This is what we did for a while and they divers picked back up.

    - Put a longer lead from the diver to your flashers

    - adjust your fly leader length

Running wire is a bit different than braid because of the signature it gives off going through the water. The main reason I do not run wire is I have a small boat. One less thing to deal with if you get a pig on.

  3. I have not been doing much fishing this summer as I have been working alot. The weather has not helped that much either as the days I have had off, the weather kicks up.

Aside from that however I did make it out yesterday morning for a AM trip with a couple friends.

    6-7

All fish came in the dark and then the fishing shut right down for us in our water.

We fished 60-70 FOW when we were catching fish and did a little exploring after 7 am. We trolled out to 130 and back to 60 without ever taking another hit.

    What worked

Rigger down 25 red nose size 3 jplug
