I am going to be fishing in a tournament in a couple weeks and finally remembered to save enough vacation to Pre-fish. I have the Saturday and Sunday before as well as the Thursday and Friday before the tournament available. Would it be better to fish one area on those days or to fish multiple areas i.e. on day North the next south. Thanks for all the advice in advance, Mike

5:30 to 8:00 in the morning. Braided line on the dipsies set on 3.

Fished 100 to 150 fow half way between Holland and Port Sheldon. Ended up 14 fpr 23 or 24. Hot bait was an 11" pro-chip with an Oceana fly with razor sharp hook (see previous post). Moonshine Blue flounder also was good as well as the double trouble. Black spinnes and purple mirage fly took a couple as well. Rigger at 45, 55, and 65, full core and dipsies back 180 and 150.

Thanks for the welcome. What made me mad about the dull hook is that it was brand new. Never thought to check it. That'll change.

Started on a northwest throll about 2 miles north of holland in 90ft. First fish hit in about 115 with the second as we put the first in the cooler. Didn't hit another fish until we got to 140ft of water and finished 5/10 staying in the 135 to 150 fow range. Mountain dew spin doctor with a yeck mountain dew glow fly 180 back on 3 was the most consistant going 2/4, with the blue chilly willy and a 11" pro chip with an oceana rapture fly also taking a pair of hits. Only one fish hit the full core which we lost. Sharpen your hooks. A dull hook on the oceana fly probably cost me 2 fish tonight. Mike
