wtg Ken nice shakedown trip!

hey i was out there in the rain reeling in a fish...

It just wasn't raining as hard as when you were out there Jim.

yup but it was rainin at the time no one wanted to go out there unless there was a fish dang lazy crew LOL!!

Well its like a broken record GET OUT THERE THE FISHING IS OUTSTANDING! :thumb:we went to 70 fow set lines trolled sw and hit a double in 100 fow then picked away at em til 170 fow then it went nuts! we ended up 20 for 22 keeping 14 fish, 8 kings and 6 coho . The kings where nice 16 lb,14,lb,12 lbs, and 8 lbs the cohos where small again with several throw back cohos and small kings. Our hot set ups were the big slick white paddle,and the green white paddle with pickle sunshine flies on wire set 225 back on wire these rods went double more than once! riggers down 80 and 82 foot with spoons and later dodgers took fish,300 coppers ,and full cores with spoons also took fish. We ended the day not able to get a bite so pulled lines and found a bunch of cohos on the remaining rods turned many of them back:p. Thanks to Nick Cornell and Line Dancin Aaron for going fishin with me today! here are some pics of the day.

thats a sticky one but i think if you are fishing you all have to be licensed if 17 or older maybe a local officer will chime in here or someone who has been in this situation before.A one day license would do it.

nice shake down trip Mark !

well i did it, bit the bullet and went on a charter today for red fish and trout, went with my father in law, had a blast we fished with shinners on 7 foot med action rods with power pro and floro leaders .ended up getting 4 reds each and several trout !:grin:two reds were just under 30 " and around 9 lbs they fought like nice kings with nice long runs.

got a snook today off the beach along with a jack carevell and several lady fish again it was near 90 today way to hot for this fat boy:D LOL

ya what erik said ^^^^^ its a weird year thats for sure normally we would just be getting on the lake and would still have lots of junk and maybe even ice to watch out for.

Hey every one its sunny and 80 here on anna maria island , got here yesterday after a couple long days on the road. got my license and was fishing within 2 hours ,second cast i caught a jack carevele, then a couple lady fish, got up this morning started to catch lady fish again then bam a nice spotted sea trout, then a few more cast and another one took off! Wohoo first sea trout ive caught they are pretty fun, i will be here all week and hope to catch some other fish,cobia,and reds have been cruising the sand bar so im gonna try hard to get one:thumb: im gonna try to go on an intercoastal charter for reds,snook,and trout thursday.

a free slider is about 6 ft. of line with two snap swivels on it put a lure on one end and hook the other end to yor main line after its to depth and it will slide down to the "Bellie" about half way down when you get fish on it you need to popit and reel like mad to get things tight.
