  1. Ken I have a display I'll sell cheap if you're interested in running 2 probes. I lost my probe this summer & switched to the new cannon.
  2. Other than having to send my X5 in for replacement 3 times, I'm very happy with it. Sent it back once for a recall & twice for a gear issue. It never stopped working though. My only complaint besides that is that it's kind of noisy. I'd upgrade to hydraulic steering and AP if I could.
  3. We fished 130-200 this morning & got 13. 130-180 FOW was best for us today, 160-240 was good Friday & yesterday. The surface temps cooled from the mid 60's yesterday to the mid 40's this morning with a break at around 220 FOW. That break had moved in to 130 FOW by noon & fishing slowed a lot, not sure if it was the time of day or water changs. We fished the mud for a couple hours in the afternoon and went 1 for 2. Just don't seem to be many mature fish around. Super Slims & Stingray spoons are by far the best right now for 2-3 year holds & steelhead. Long story short, personally I'd go for smaller fish & a lot more of them. Put on small spoons & head west till you get em.
  4. Maybe we were in the area and didn't realize it. We stared about 4 miles north of Holland in 50 FOW and stayed in that area until 9:30 or so then moved to the 01 line and worked 80-140 FOW.
  5. Thanks but that wasn't us. We could hear one side of the radio communications but were not in the area. Nice job to the boats that did well, we haven't had a day as tough as Saturday was in a long time. I sure wish we would have had an opportunity to try to make up for it on day 2. 6. You might check with Specialty Marine in Caledonia, I've been very happy with them.
  7. Plano boxes. I cram as many plugs in as I can and spread the hooks around so they aren't all in the same compartment (2 or 3 in the same compartment). They tangle a little but it's not hard to get 2 or 3 untangled. Better yet, I mainly use Lyman or Silver Horde plugs without the bead chain harnesses.
  8. I read a lot of the same complaints about Promariner when I was looking for a charger. I decided on a Guest 20A 2 bank, I haven't used it yet though.
  9. All costs are split evenly, if we win something substantial, say over $1,000, I knock some off the bill. Otherwise I (or the boat really) keep all winnings, make improvements to the boat, and the crew gets something nicer to fish out of. Like Cstar said, my crew realizes fishing for a few days for a couple hundred bucks is a steal. We've also talked about the boat taking half and splitting the rest. I'd like to be able to cover all costs but at $450-$650 per tournament, it's just not possible for me.
