  1. Well we headed out for the first trip of the season on Saturday. The fishing wasn't the best for us ,but the boat and all of the equipment ran flawless and we did end up with 3 coho and missed 3 fish. We started out in the ship canal things where pretty slow for us. We had our best luck near Buffington. All in all it was a great day on the water even with the slow fishing!

  2. Slow fishing continues we tryed casting again last night as it has been pretty choppy for trolling. We ended up with 2 small smallies that is it. It looks like a big north blow on Saturday it will be interesting to see what happens after only time will tell I guess. We put the big boat away for a bit and will be using the 15ft smokercraft for casting because it has a trolling motor. It is red with a mercury on it if you see us out there give us a shout!

  3. We spent Labor Day weekend in Grand Haven we fished each morning from about 6:00-10:30am. We fished 115-135fow and ended up 5/10 with a couple nice kings on Friday and went 3/3 all nice kings on Saturday. On Sunday we fished shallower in 80-95fow and went 3/3 all kings. We targeted strictly kings this weekend and it worked pretty well we kept most of our baits in the 40-90ft water column our best baits were 200',250',300' coppers with blue plugs also a 450'cu with a moonshine happy meal took our biggest fish on Saturday and had a couple nice hits on Friday. All in all a great weekend of fishing!

  4. After almost 2 weeks of not fishing we got back at it this week we fished from 6:30pm-10:30pm on Thursday ended up 1 coho 3 misses in 70-85fow north of wreck. On Sunday we fished from 6:30am-12pm we started in 60fow northeast of the wreck and had some decent action then it died off. We moved east to the 49-50 and 16-18 area and picked up a coho on a slider Michigan stinger pink panties. I decided to throw out a 300 copper with our favorite king spoon on it and had a hit not too long after but it did not stay hooked up about a half hour later we hooked into a real nice king on it, but lost it about a foot from the net! We ended up with 2 coho in the cooler,1 laker released, a nice king still swimming and a few other misses it sure was a bumpy and foggy ride out this morning!

  5. We headed out Wednesday afternoon and set up a 6 rod spread around 6:30pm and fished until around 10pm. We ended up with a few misses and a nice 15lb king that came on a rigger down 50 with a moonshine bloody nose spoon. We fished in 45 to 60 FOW north of the wreck. On Friday night we decided to pull an all nighter. We started fishing at 8pm and fished until 6:30am on Saturday. We ended up 5 for 9 with 3 coho, 1 king, and 1 laker we worked the same area as Wednesday and ran a six rod spread moonshine spoons did the damage from 25 to 50 ft down. We have always talked about fishing threw the night and finally decided to do it all in all a great time even though we didn't get the big kings we were searching for. Here are some pictures enjoy!
