When is the deadline to sign up? Do you have to be part of the league to enter?

This is like a group therapy session :-) the second year I owned my boat I noticed a small spot of rot in the transom, so took it in. The small spot turned into a completely new transom, part of a stringer, floor, gas tank support, etc. So after literally paying for the boat a second time and losing the first two months of the season I took it out only to have it stall everytime I put it in reverse. So another two weeks and a shift cable later I was finally able to get out. Fortunately once those rods start popping it seems to make you forget the frustrations just long enough to keep the whole operation going another year.

Yeah a delay would have probably been the way to go with how rapidly things were changing. Just from the time we left the pier heads to the time we made it back things had changed significantly. Glad you guys lucked out enough to get back under power, that could have gotten real ugly.

Slow fishing for us Saturday out of Grand Haven. Managed a 12 and 8 pound king, both in 120 fow, one on a dipsy 300 back, and the other on a 200 copper. Meat rig on the dipsy and orange spoon on the copper. Fished from 100-210 fow.

I stopped by there today and they were still working on dredging.

Was wondering what boat launches are available out of Grand Haven for a 24' boat, going to take a drive out that way this weekend to take a look. Typically launch out of Holland and P.s., but may fish out of GH some this year. Thanks

Adding a 600 copper rig to the arsenal, figuring out a better place for my nets so I don't lose another one in the drink when the pin on the top rod holder breaks, and figuring out why my lower unit wouldn't go back on after being winterized.

I fished out of there a lot in 2012 without a problem in a 24' boat. I believe the water has continued to go down though, so not sure what its going to be like this year.

Hello fellow fisherman! I'm not sure how I haven't stumbled onto this site before, but it looks like another great resource. I fish mostly out of Port Sheldon and Holland in a 24' Thompson, with the occasional trip up to the Traverse City/Frankfort area. I am definitely looking forward to getting this season started, and will hopefully be sharing many fishing reports throughout the season.
