  1. We set lines around 7 am and didn't find fish until 9. Just kept working the same area and pulled lines around 1 pm
  2. I got my dad out today,we fished off Grand Haven. We went 8 for 8, six kings and two steelhead. Four of the kings ran between 10 and 13 lbs, one around 9 the last around 6 lbs. We fished just outside the mud in 40 - 60 fow, with 50 being the best, south east troll 2.5 sog. Both steelhead came on a four color with a green kato spoon. Kings were 3 on a 200 copper/ green dolphin, 1 on a rigger 40 down /pink panties, 1 on a rigger 35 down / blue dolphin, 1 on a slider about 25 down/ caramel dolphin. Lake was flat today but very foggy.
  3. Fished out of Holland and headed south picked up one brown just south of the pier. Only hit of the day, came on a orange/gold j-11 Rapala, 75' back from a board. Fished from 8:00 till noonish in 10 to 20 fow. Water temp was 43 degrees. Got off just as the rain came in. There was one other guy who was taking out at the same time that had 2 browns.

  5. Fished Muskegon solo this Am. Saw lots of boats hooked up. Went 1 for 6 Had two big fish bust me off. Every thing was in out in front of the piers to 45 fow or just north. All on plugs, Rigger set at 25/ green splatter back. Dipsy at 3 - 60 back/ wonder bread. Four color / silver and red. Seemed like they wanted it slow 1.8 to 2.0 north/south troll worked best.
  6. fished Mon from 5 till dark we went 1 for 4 (close to 20lbs). Took 2 hits between big red and the end of the pier, other hits were just out in front of the south pier. Diver set at 3, 40 back / sliver and red j plug took two hits, rigger at 20 / green paddle with green fly, lost a small fish. Big fish came on a four color / lucky charms plug.   7. Marked tons of fish in the 60-70 fow before the sun came up. Went 2/3 this morning. Took a 15 lb king in 70 fow on a rigger 45 down, green/blue splatterback plug. Took another 12 lb king on the same plug in 90 fow - 55 down, just north of the buoy, while that one was in the net a meat rig on a diver 130 back went - swing and a miss. Would have like to stayed longer, but it got pretty bumpy by 10:30. NE troll worked best 2.4 sog.
  8. I was at the ramp at 5:00 setting lines by 5:30. Marked lots of fish and bait in the 60 - 70 fow, but couldn't get them to go. Pushed out a little deeper around 6:30. Doug
  9. Solo trip this AM. Went 4/4, fished south of ps in 70 - 120 fow, best was 85-95. West troll 2.2 -2.4 sog. Lemon ice on rigger, down 45 - 7lb king White sd w/meat rig, dipsey back 150 - 5 lb coho Wonder bread j-plug, dipsey back 130 - 14 lb king Mixed veggies spoon on rigger down 50 - 8lb king
  10. Went 4/6 today, all kings, biggest 10 lbs. Set lines north of PS at 5:30, only took one hit after 6:30. Most fish were in 85-90fow, 35 - 45 down, north troll 2.4 sog. White paddle/white fly on rigger at 45 took 2. Moonshine Mongolian beef RV took 1 on a rigger 35 down. Blue/chrome sd with blue bubble fly on dipsy 105 back took 1. Missed a good rip on a lucky charm j-plug, dipsy set on 3 - 115 back. Lots of boats today, seemed like most fish were taken in 110 -120 fow after the sun was up. Heard of a couple good fish were taken on a Wonder Bread j-plug.
  11. Went 2/3, Started in 120 fow southwest troll. Picked up a 14.5lb king Moonshine RV, Mongolian beef, 7o down on rigger. Couldn't get any more to go, heard good reports in the 180-200 fow so we pulled lines to join the fun. Went 1/2 deeper. Moonshine RV blue flounder. Tried j-plugs, meat rigs and flies. Heard 1 22 lb. king caught at 170, 300 copper, lucky charm j-plug.
  12. Took my brother out, started setting lines at 5:30 pulled lines at 9:30. Went 11/14 (one throw back) started in 110 fow, sw troll out to 180. Took fish in all depths, first hit came in 115 kept taking fish till we hit 180. Most fish came on the riggers with sliders set at 70 & 80 ft. Spoons took most hits, Moonshine RV, Mongolian Beef and Blue Jackal, Mixed Veggies, Blue Dolphin. Two hits on Green spin doc, green fly, biggest fish came on white paddle/ white fly (both rigs on dipsy divers about 175 back). Took two fish on a four color with 3oz dive bomb with a double orange crush. Four steelhead (6-7 lbs), one coho (8 lbs), five kings (most 8-10 lbs, biggest 17). sog was 2.4 - 2.7
  13. Solo trip this AM. Went 5/8, 2 steelhead, 3 kings. Fished 85-105 fow, east/west troll(west being best). Lost a fish at first light, rigger, 65 down, moonshine Mongolian Beef. 1 small steely on a green paddle/green fly, braid dipsy, set at 1.5 - 125 back. Lost a fish, blue/crome spin doc w/blue bubble fly. dipsy - 150 back. Took a 8lb steely on a slider w/ blue dolphin, about 50ft down. Took 3 kings,9.5, 15 and 21lbs, lost one, with a white spin doctor green/white meat rig. Braid dipsy set at 1.5 - 175 back.
  14. Solo trip on the 12th AM, 4 for 4, all kings (biggest was 14#). Three on riggers, 25ft(slider) - double orange crush, 40ft - caramel dolphin, 60ft - moonshine rv Mongolian beef. One on a dipsy braid - 175 back with a meat rig. 85 to 100 fow, south troll 2.4 - 2.7 sog. Took my son today 3 for 3, all came on the moonshine Mongolian beef at 65 ft on a rigger, 85 to 100 fow. 1 coho, 1 laker, 1 king (6.5 lbs)
  15. I went on a solo mission today - went 3 for 6. Took a 12.5# king in 90 fow on a green paddle/ green fly with a braid dipsy 85 back in the early morning. Went out to 160 late morning took another 12.5# king on a blue/chrome spin doctor with a blue bubble fly. Braid dipsy - 175 back ( missed two more rips on same rig). Landed one coho on a dr set at 35 - hit a double orange crush on the slider set at 25ft. Lost another one at the boat on same. All but the AM fish came from 160 - 170 fow, north troll, 2.5 - 2.7 sog
