  1. Good deal Aaron. You should be getting there when it really gets going. Looking forward to another great season and networking with you guy's. We'll be hitting it hard from here on. Corey fished same area this morning and went 15 for 19 with another buddy fishing behind them caught a 15.3 lbr!!! Same program, dhj12's with 25-45' back.
  2. Great seeing you out there Matt. We went first 3 hrs without a bite. Once we found that school at 11am it was game on. It was fun running opposite directions and see you're boards go and then we'd say get ready and sure enough we'd get bit. Ended 16 for 20 with 2 just over 12lbs before we had to get Corey back for Easter dinner. Like you said, it got really congested pretty quick in a small area. Gotta love when people decide they want to run perpendicular to everyone else! I will be out fri afternoon and sat, sun morning. JD will be out with his boat sat as well. I'll be on 68 if you're going to be out. Nick
  3. I use 8' med Tdr's for pulling inline boards and some old Daiwa black widows 8' med for #1 braid slide diver with stnd ring and they pull just fine. I agree that the MH Wilderness are stiffer than you'd want on Erie for eye's. I have the Wilderness MH 8'6" for wire and 9'6" for braid slide diver for salmon. They are definately stout rods and I'm not sure you would know a walleye was on. I personally would try the wilderness M for the $ I dont think you can beat them. Aaron, how soon before you will be ready to go? Ice is clearing out and hope to be in Brest Bay area next wknd pulling DHJ12's Hope to report soon. PM me you're # when you get a chance. Washed my phone and lost most contacts. Thanks, Nick
  4. Great catch, that's a beut. The smile and caption says what it's all about. Hope you catch him and his big brother on fri. Good luck.
  5. Thank's for the report. Congrats on some big fish. Will be out there wed morning. Was planning on pulling inlines with harnesses, but may stick with the spoons now.
  6. Heading out of Luna Pier at 6:30 sat morn. Going to set up east of dump grounds and troll n/e. We did pretty good in this area pulling spoons on mini discs at 2.1-2.5sog after struggling for some perch last sunday morning. There were alot of boats fishing the Oh/Mi line in the area and most did pretty well. Aaron, unfortunately I washed my phone when I got today. Doh!!! I have it in a bag of rice drying out right now. Should be good to go by morning as this isn't the first time I've had to dry it out. If not I'll be on ch 68 to all those who will be out there. (Shark Attack)
  7. Fished 2-6pm. Started out near line and trolled back towards sterling. Didn't pick up an eye till we hit the 24 fow we'd been getting them past cple weeks. Ended with our 12 fish 16-20" with 9 throwbacks. Mini discs w/spoons 50-90' back w/80-90 best. 2.2-2.5sog No color standout. Plenty of scatterd fish in area, just running small.
  8. Good job on the catches guys. Unfortunately I was out of town so didn't get to fish. Planning on at least one day after work this week. Will post report. Looking forward to the details, Aaron.
  9. Went strait out from Sterling and set up in 22fow on a south troll. Picked up fish in 24-25fow. Trolled the same line for about a mi out once we hit 24' and trolled it back and forth. Ran spoons on mini divers. Best leads 30 and 60. best speed was 1.6-1.9 6 different colors with no one standing out. 6am - 11am. Caught 19 with 3 short throwbacks. Only 2 sheep and about a doz silver. Water is clean although the usual floating weeds.
  10. Sounds good. I'll be out sat probably around 6am. sounds like you might get to fish fri if you're leaving tmrw? I pm'd some info. Good luck. Will be listening on 68
  11. 3 of us fished the point saturday afternoon from 20-26' fow and pulled 2 then trolled over to infront of sterling 20-22' and pulled 16 more with 6 of them being short throwbacks. Sun morning 2 of us set up in front of sterling, same spot and pulled 12 in 2.5hrs. We've been fishing the bay from park to point last cple of wks. Mostly small schools that you have to circle back or make short trolls to stay on them. Harnesses w/1oz inlines #6 colorado 20-30 back1.0-1.4sog We'll be out sat, sun and mon mornings. May be in same area or possibly dumping grounds to light house area. Will be on ch 68. Nick, boat name: shark attack.
