  1. We started setting lines just after 10am and had none stop action tell noon boating 10 fish. Kept 9 and release 3 fish. Yes a couple got away too. The bite slowed after noon and fish changed color. Fished spoons mostly and one fly. One fish had about fifty bait fish in the stomach and another had about 30. The rest of the fish had empty stomachs. 59 and 60 degree surface temp was best. Trolling with the current was best.

2 color with Mimi dolphin was hot

3 color with monkey puke was hot

    5 color with monkey puke

225 copper with yellow pink uv spoon.

    250 copper mongose went twice.

Diver 80 and 188 back went twice with super man.

Rigger 55 down blue Kato went a couple times.

Rigger 60 and also 80 down went twice with green bubble and pickled sunshine.

Sorry I kept it short but last time I spent an hour writing a long report and lost it while trying to post it.

  2. Everyday is different but I know you don't need a fish hawk to do well either. Sog can work but it often change for your troll direction. If you marking fish and they are not biting keep changing direction and or speed. Makesure you pay attention when you do get a bite to what was happening and try and match that or adjust a little more. You can watch other boats for direction of troll but I would stay away form matching they're speed. Different programs need different speeds.

  3. I would also recommend a 9.9 for what I have seen an heard about them. I have an 8 two stroke on my 16 and it works perfect. Had a 4 stroke mounted on it once and it was two heavy. Make sure your transome is good and possible add some reinforcing. Make sure to seal any holes up with marine adhesive 5200 during the install.
