  1. How is the ice and cracks on the east side? I talked to a guy who said you can only get .5 mile out of linwood after the wind earlier in the week. We did really good last weekend about 4 miles out. I normally fish the west side when the ice is good but will fish the east side if that's the only place to get out.

  2. Looking for advice on rebuilding the transom on my 16 foot aluminum boat. I was thinking of doing it myself and was looking for a good spot to get marine plywood at a reasonable price? Is there some place around that does this and if so how much will it cost?

  3. Fished from 7am to noon going 7 for 8 and had one other one bite but didn't get to the pole in time. Fish consisted of 5 kings 1 coho and 1 lake trout. Fish were from 130 to 150 FOW. What worked 300 copper, 250 copper, low divers back 230 to 290, riggers down 90 to 130. White paddle and blue fly was the best taking 3 fish and lost one. Blue dolphin took two and flounder pounder, and green and black.

  4. The DNR does treatments for sea lamprey at the dam from what I understand. They will not be able to effectively treat the river without the dam. I Just think they could build a portage or a water ramp going over it, rather than removing it. I hope the DNR makes the Kayakers get a license for the additional costs of sea lamprey treatments. This would be a great way for them to make some money as well.

  5. Saturday morning went 8 for 9 from 7am to 12:30.

Paddles and flies were the ticket with no real patterns. Green and white along with blue flies were the best. Riggers down 70 to 120 ft, and had bites on the divers in the same range. Trolled about 2-2.6 mph sog and 120-130 FOW, also heard 140 to 190 FOW was good but didn't go out that deep.

Fishing today was slow, only going 5 for 7. Paddles and spoons worked colors Blue, green, white, and chrome were the best. Took fish 50 to 130 down, divers were 120 to 200 back and trolled about 2.4-3.2 mph sog.
