Hey Mike how ya been? Where's the wife? Awwww she's outside sitting in her car, yeahh she's been out there all day, I don't get it....

I've used spotlighs like you've mentioned, spreader lights, and my light box. The sun seems to work best. Second best I would say would be a 110VA/C flourescent grow light as this will give the most accurate light spectrum in relation to sunlight. The black light/flourescent light gadget seems to get the job done well but the logevity of the glow on baits is not as long as the sunlight exposure. I added another light fixture to my box and it seems to do the trick for the most part. I don't think brightness seems to have a lot to do with the effectiveness of the glow baits.

I would suggest if you have the time to run some side by side tests and run what you have confidence in.
OK kids, OUT OF THE POOL!!! Theres work to be done...

Good deal!! Keep those reports coming as I plan on going out that way for 5 days from the 9th to the 14th. Hope the fishing is good.

Prefishing the afternoon & evening before an event gives me the opportunity to get the gear rigged the way I need it for the next days event. (in my case that may include unwinding the coreline from the lower unit)

obstruction or interference in lawful taking of aquatic species; prohibited conduct.
Maybe I should show this law to my wife.... Seems like she's always harrassing my when I go fishing...

Its a cooker here today. Good thing the AC is working
I hear that. I had to turn down the A/C today. The way cool air was disturbing the ambiance of my Margaritas. Now if the pool was done It would be perfect. Dog gone kids now days won't help with anything.. ahhh another margarita will make it better...

The way gas is going up? unless I can get my boat to run on potatoe skins & corn cobs who cares...

on an O/B the conversion is pretty straight forward. Most places should be able to take care of it for you. If you getting a used power head though and/or need work done on that it would be different. Not sure where you are but Hildebrands in Coldwater is great with jets.

What about the doughnut factor? I didn't see any info in regards to this. I know it changes the effects felt, but at what rate?

The sky was cloud free most of the day. Nobody around the lowrance and I kept loosing gps signal. I need to call lowrance and see what they would do. Im going to get a little pst if they wont do anything for me. I keep you guys updated.
Where is your GPS antenna in relation to your VHF antenna?

I wonder what they charge for something like that.

Getting Old??? Hahahaha...ok
On my boat I use 4 Big Jon captain's paks. I got a smokin deal on these riggers so whats a guy to do. All riggers have the gimbals for greater versatility. These are the older (1984) stainless steel non adjustable boom models. when I got them they had been stored in a sealed drum for about 10 years. I took the casings apart and greased them up good before putting them on my boat. The motors are good and have had no problems with them. I did go to the 8 amp breaker as recomended by BJ for the use on older models. they work great and they'll go till they die. By then we'll see what hot & whats not.

I tow my boat about (4500 lbs) with an 04 Chevy Suburban 2500. Vortec 8100, complete tow package trans & oil cooler. This truck has lots of goodies TV, DVD, VHS, OnStar so who cares about the gas milage. If it makes the wife happy my jobs half done!!!

The few times I've been out alone I've let the wind & currents steer my course for me for a while then continue that heading while setting lines and just troll in that direction. On the right days I can usually set lines and fight fish with very little attention to the helm.
Midway was out with me one evening recently when it was like that. a great eve for night fishing. We really should have stayed later considering the following days events...

Hey Steve Arend,
any ideas what this is????
Looks like a re-cap of the last time I was out minus the 15 colors of led core. WoW,, It's been too long!!!

I would own a Tiara in the 31-33' range. It has a nice wide beam and there is lots of room fish without running into or tripping over something. It also sleeps 4 comfortably incase my family would like to go on a weekend excursion.
There ya go Mikey..... It's all ready for you. Just dropp em a check and your good to go...
