  1. Thanks for all the help. Just need to figure out what rod to buy now!
  2. 1990 walk around sabre, took me awhile to find one like this but I love it, a very good fishing boat.
  3. Hello quick question. This was my first year salmon fishing and needless to say Im addicted! Im already thinking of what upgrades i want to think about over winter. I've talked to many people and read many posts where people say wire divers are the best rods on there boat? I have 2 braid divers and have caught a few fish on them, but nothing spectacular I guess the question is whats the advantage of wire over braid? I know the wire goes deeper is that it? Just curious before I go out and buy some new roller rods. And where do you get the wire at? I don't think i've ever seem that as a option at any of my local tackle shops? And while were at it depth raider or fishhawk?? Thanks Mike
  4. Ended up 4-4 "combat fishing" in the harbor friday evening. 2 kings 15-16lbs on a silver/redhead J and a 12lb king and 8lb steelie on a acehigh green splatterback. Not to much boat traffic until about 5pm. Had a crazy thing happen when the wind switched to the North all the cold air over the warm water in the harbor pulled in some fog...made it very interesting trying to keep track of the pier, breakwall, and other boats with limited or no visibility.
  5. Ended up going 7-7 with 4 kings, 2 coho, and a laker in 160ft just south of the pier heads. Blue chrome SD with a BW Special Ops fly 140 back on a braid dipsey set on 2 was our best, also caught fish on a blue dolphin 56 down on a rigger, JK krystal killer meat rig 47 down on a rigger, Moonshine flounder pounder plug 74 down on a rigger, and 1 fish on a aqua DW plug on a 7 color. 1 king was 18lbs the other 3 were 10-12lbs the coho were both pushing 10lbs real chunky fish. Great evening on the water.
  6. I"ll try to throw up a pick of the Jerid spoon...nothing to special chartuse and fish scale silver with a "single dingle" (1 silver flipper) all I know is Capt Chucks was sold out of them. I ended up finding a couple at a tackle shop in Manistee
  7. Started out friday at 2:30 in solid 3-4s 19 lb king Yeck Jerid on a fixed slider about 41 down 14lb king JK Krystal Killer meat rig 47 down on rigger 18lb king same as above 6lb laker moonshine green jeans 120 back on a dipsey on 2 all fish caught on almost exactly the same waypoint in 168 ft of water right off the bath house. Saturday while heading out the channel my temp gauge spiked (bad impeller?) so turned around to come back to the marina thru down a rigger and hit a 17lb king in the channel Yeck Jerid 19 down on a rigger, very interesting fighting the fish in the channel with all the traffic. First time fishing Ludington we went 5-5 in aliitle more then 5 hours of fishing time this port rocks!
  8. I can't agree more the customer service with Big Weenie is top notch, I had questions about a order I made today and they called me right back and answered all the questions I had on a Sunday....awesome:thumb:! Im going to be up In Ludington that same weekend so of course I had a rubber poofster on my order...if you don't mind me asking what meat rig did you have luck with??

  10. Hello quick question, just picked up a few of these to try for walleye with spoons....on the bottom of the diver where the line hooks to run to your lure there are 4 holes what is the point of the different holes?? There is nothing on the package that explains what the different holes do? I assume they make the diver run at a different depth?
